I thought of a very wonderful quote. I'm not sure where it came from. I might have read it somewhere before. Maybe it is many citations brought together. Maybe it is entirely of my own creation. I don't know. Anyways, I find it to be very beautiful and thought-provoking...

"Twilight is a children's book poorly disguised as great literature. Harry Potter is great literature poorly disguised as a children's book."

I doubt I wrote it. I'm not capable of coming up with something so witty and beautiful as that.

Allow me to explain what it means. It means that Twilight makes people think it is great literature because of its content. Most of it is about "romance" and has many mature themes, like sex. That doesn't mean that Bella and Edward are constantly talking about it ou doing it, but it is always on their minds.
But even though the content itself seems plus grown-up than the charming school of Hogwarts, with its cute little wizards and witches learning basic magic, making friends, and growing, Twilight is really a children's book. It is written so that a young child could understand it (though I hope young children don't read it!) with very basic sentence structure and basic vocabulary, with the exception of big words awkwardly thrown in to aléatoire places. It tells the story in the most simple way possible. It doesn't elaborate where it is supposed to and has unnecessary and distracting details where it shouldn't.
As for Harry Potter, it is beautifullly written. It has a main plot (Harry's quest to destroy Voldemort), but also many subplots that make the story interesting wihtout making it confusing. The characters are well-developed and the descriptions are stunning without being repetitive ou tacking five adjectives onto one noun. Many assume it is a children's book because the story is about witches and wizards. And they are partially correct: kids l’amour Harry Potter because of that. However, that doesn't change the fact that everything was carefully planned, researched, and written wonderfully. Adults l’amour Harry Potter because of its subtle complexity and wonderful plot, action, suspense, romance, love, emotion, sense of loss, self-conflict, and excellent story. These are the things that make Harry Potter truly great literature, no matter where the story takes place ou whether ou not they are wizards.

"Twilight is a children's book poorly disguised as great literature. Harry Potter is great literature poorly disguised as a children's book."

I must have read it somewhere, but I truly wish I could claim this quote as my own.

I just wanted to cut out this snippet and paste it here because I completely agree here. There is no being that's invincible, no matter how unnecessarily overpowered toi make them.

Meyer thinks that humans are limited to two types of weapons: pistolets and slow-moving bombs. Oh, Meyer. toi silly, silly bitch. There is one thing that we humans have been consistently good at since we first picked up a rock and looked speculatively at that tortue hiding smugly inside of its shell:...

I cannot stress strongly enough the contempt I have for the franchise of Twilight. ou at least the book. The films are plus funny than anything else, and honestly I don't hate any of the cast an crew working on it. Having read the source material, I can see they had little to work with.
Harry Potter, on the other hand... I like. I don't l’amour it; I'm no Potterhead par any means, however much I might have been in the past. But it will always hold a very special place for me. I grew up with the livres and films, lire and seeing them years apart from each other - growing up along with the characters...

I still l’amour toi after all these years.
Thinking of toi brings me to tears.
I see toi every time I dream
To know you’re gone makes me wanna scream.

Where are toi my dear?
Are toi near?

I have let sin consume my heart
And I let it tear us apart.
I didn’t realize until it was too late
When toi had passed the gate.

I thought we’d always be best friends
Too bad it came to an end
Your eyes and voice still haunt me.
Sometimes I wonder if toi are just beyond my reach.

Where are toi my dear?
Are toi near?

I have let sin consume my heart
And I let it tear us apart
I didn’t realize it until it was too late
When toi had passed the gate. (2x)

Why am I still here?

Note: I did not write this, I found it off a website, and I don't want to offend anyone with it :)

Harry Potter auteur J.K Rowling has reportedly turned down the chance to present an award at this year's Oscars ceremony. She claims she is too busy écriture to attend the étoile, star studded event, where she was offered the opportunity to present an award with Twilight auteur Stephenie Meyer. On J.K Rowling's official website, she is quoted as saying that écriture is her main priority at the moment....but I can't help but wonder if it was Stephenie Meyer who was the reason behind her refusal.

Stephenie...
