New Game of Thrones plage filming location in Spain! 

We have some more Season 7 news for you today in the form of a new filming location in Spain thanks to

El Correo! Muriola Beach in Barrika will host the cast and crew of

We previously reported several new filming locations along the Basque coast in Spain. The crew will be moving to the beaches sometime in October, says El Correo.

Town Mayor Robert Muñoz is also being kept in the dark saying the filming is “surrounded by mystery” though he is beyond ecstatic the town will get a chance to shine though such an epic series.

As previously announced, filming will take place October 26th on Itzurun Beach in Zumaia and Modexpor International has stated that extras casting begin around October 5th. We can expect the filming at Muriola to take place shortly after.

It looks like there will be plenty of opportunities for those in the area to get involved so head on over to El Correo for more!

I mean, I guess it could be Ironborn raiding; but that looks more like the Stormlands than the Reach to me.

Muriola looks like the Iron islands, or could pass as Dragonstone or maybe even the stepstones. Really can’t see this as the Dornish coast, although they used Portstewart in S5 (unsuccessfully, I might add).

My first thought was that the top pic looked very much like the beach on Dragonstone where Davos, Matthos and Salladhor Saan had a scene back in season 2, but I think equally it could pass for somewhere in the Stormlands. The second pic, I think, makes me think of the Iron Islands.

Looks like Dragonstone from the prior seasons, Dany’s Landing at Westeros? I am guessing they will give us the Targaryen Dragonstone landing as it is fitting since it is the ancestral landing and marks the 1st and last time she was in Westeros. It is also where Aegon lands in ADWD. This also lets me know she must have handled Euron whilst crossing the Narrow Sea. I can’t imagine a decent Iron Born epic battle on land. It would make for a great episode 6 (being episode 9 now). Favorite characters must die during the sea voyage, everyone can’t make it, my guess, Grey Worm or Missandei (leaning towards Grey Worm as Dany will still need her herald) and Asha.

Seeing all these beaches makes me wish they would come to shoot in Greece too 🙁 Highly unlikely for S8 but a woman can dream.

My bets are that it’s the location where Daenerys will make her landing in Westoros.

Hahah αυτό ξαναπες το 🙁 I read somewhere some time ago that they wanted to shoot the Eyrie scenes from S1 at Meteora and Dorne at Ikaria but there were too many bureaucracy and high tax level problems. Damnit the Greek government disappoints me again xD
