11 days passed par (so it was 15th February), and Emma and Kowalski became closer Friends than they had ever been. They spent most days hanging out with eachother, which Skipper made a cheeky commentaire about a few days ago. Emma woke up and she shuffled over to the cinder block table.
"Morning." She a dit sleepily, as she got herself some breakfast. She realised that she was the last one up. Everyone a dit morning back, though she wasn't really paying much attention. He bandage around her flipper had come off a yesterday, and her flipper was fully healed. She glanced around, and saw that Private and Rico were arguing over the Tv, and Kowalski and Skipper were playing cards, and Kowalski was winning for once. Emma smiled at this, and she tucked into her breakfast. Her mind was swirling with thoughts, many focusing on a certain penguin. She looked over at Kowalski longingly. She didn't think she'd be able to resist him much longer. Every time she was with him, her stomach felt giddy, her cœur, coeur would beat 100 times fast than usual, and she felt content, and safe. She made a little fantaisie in her head, and she started smiling, and going a little red. About half an heure later Skipper got them up to training.
"So today we're going to work on on punches." He announced, gesturing to the stood up punching bags behind him. Emma looked interested, and saw that each punching bag was a different colour, she eyed up the dark blue one, and she realised that Rico was looking at that one too.
"Ooh, I like the yellow one." Private exclaimed looking at the sunny colours in delight.
"Ok choose your punching bag." Skipper said, moving out of the way. Rico and Emma rushed over to the dark blue one and began to fight over it.
"Mine!" Rico squawked, trying to get it from his sister.
"No, it's mine!" Emma argued, kicking Rico. She smirked and thought of something. "Oh my goodness Rico, Miss Perky's about to fall in the water!" She exclaimed pointing behind him. Rico turned around worriedly, losing his grip on the punching bag. Emma snatched it off him, and grinned evilly at him.
"Hey!" He protested, looking annoyed. Emma looked smug, and threw the remaining red one at him. Rico grumbled and started punching it. Emma tried not to giggle, as she started to coup de poing her bag. Private was a bit hesitant to coup de poing it, but he got the hang of it a while through. Emma wasn't working very hard, she was too busy thinking. She was lucky that Skipper didn't notice. Her eyes fell on Kowalski and he watched him shyly. He looked over at her, and she looked away quickly, and began to smile. Kowalski gazed at her, and his stomach flipped inside him. Their eyes met, and they smiled shyly at eachother, before looking away again. Rico noticed this, and he smirked, and chuckled. Emma gave Rico a dark look, and focused back on her punching bag. After a while the humans came along and they had to do their usual cute and cuddly routine. Emma had started getting bored of this, but she continued anyway. At 2:30pm the humans went away, and Emma and Kowalski wondered what they could do today.
"Well we could get some snowcones." Emma suggested.
"Sure, that sounds fun." Kowalski agreed cheerfully. They headed out of the habitat, and walked towards the zoo gates. Emma looked around at the other habitats curiously. Julien was kicking Mort off his feet, whilst Maurice had to fetch Julien a smoothie.
I really feel sorry for Mort and Maurice. She thought. They reached the gates, and they slipped out quietly. Emma had always loved the park, it was so full of nature, and it was such a relaxing place to be.
"Hey Em, did toi hear that there's supposed to be a meteor douche today?" Kowalski asked, looking at the shorter penguin.
"Really?" Emma replied, looking curious.
"Yeah, it's supposed to start around 10pm." Kowalski answered smiling a Emma.
"Ooh that sounds like it would be amazing to watch." Emma remarked, feeling excited.
"Yep, that's what I thought." Kowalski said. "So do toi want to watch it with me?" He asked shyly.
"Sure." Emma replied, blushing a little.
"I think we'll get a better view from the park than from our habitat, so at about 9:50pm, we should go out to the park." Kowalski advised, as they reached the snowcone stand.
"Good idea." Emma agreed, as she got two arc en ciel cones and passed one to Kowalski. They began to walk back but they took their time. Emma looked around her, and smile happily. The herbe was sift and green, beautiful fleurs were popping out of the grass, and papillons fluttered around. One landed on Emma's flipper, and she smiled at it. It walked up her flipper, then flew off. Emma giggled, and continued walking. Kowalski smiled warmly at her, as he ate his snowcone. They chatted as they strolled over to their habitat. Marlene was swimming in her habitat, and she caught sight of the penguins. She winked at Emma as they passed. Emma grinned and hopped into the fishbowl, followed par Kowalski. They didn't have any inventions to complete, so they sat down, and started drawing for a bit. Emma put her headphones in her earholes, and turned her musique on. She smiled as she heard the familiar lyrics. As she glanced at the clock, and realised that they still had about 7 hours until the meteor douche started. She felt a bit impatient, and hoped the time would pass quickly. Luckily for Emma, the time flew by. The others were extremely tired today, becuase the jour before, they stayed up until 3am, and got up at 8am, so they headed lit at 9:30pm. Kowalski and Emma sneaked out of the HQ, and made their way to the park. The night was a little chilly, but very calm. As they got int the park, Emma looked up and stared wonderingly. The sky was covered in stars, twinkling all over the landscape. They reached a pretty little spot par the lake, and sat down, leaning against a tree.
"Thanks for coming along Em." Kowalski said, shyly.
"Anytime Kowalski, I wouldn't miss this for the world anyway." Emma replied, smiling up at the taller penguin. He smiled back, and looked up at the sky, waiting for the douche to start. The air got nippier and Emma shivered.
"Are toi ok Em." Kowalski asked, looking concerned.
"Yeah, I'm just a bit cold." She replied, wrapping her flippers around herself.
"Well toi could always urm.. warm up suivant to me." Kowalski suggested nervously.
"Huh?" Emma asked.
"Well they say that body heat is good at warming people up." Kowalski explained, going red. Emma thought for a second.
"Ok." She agreed, scooting closer to him. Kowalski wrapped a flipper around her, and Emma rested her head on Kowalski's shoulder. She felt instantly warmer, and she relaxed completely. Suddenly, she saw a little light fly across the sky. "Ooh, I think it's starting!" She exclaimed, looking excited. plus lights flew across the sky, and Emma sighed, and gazed up happily. Kowalski watched her, loving how her eyes twinkled in the darkness. He held her flipper gently, making Emma blush. She looked up at him, thoughts of the meteor douche draining from her head. "Hey Kowalski, I need to tell toi something." She said, going even redder.
"What is it?" Kowalski asked, letting go of her flipper, and stroking her cheek instead. A happy chill went down Emma's spine, and she took a deep breath.
"I...I l’amour you" She managed, her cœur, coeur beating at a million miles an hour. Kowalski smiled at her lovingly.
"I l’amour toi too." He replied, starting blush aswell. Their faces were inches from eachother's, and Emma stared into Kowalski's ocean blue eyes. Kowalski closed the distance between them, and kissed Emma, running his flipper through her hair. Emma kissed, back, and wrapped her flippers around his neck, and stroking the back of it. Emma was tingling with happiness, and her breathing sped up, as the Kiss deepened. She realised he tasted of mint, and chocolate, and caramel. All sweet, and tasty. They pulled away about a minute later, gasping for air. Emma tried to slow her breathing down, and her cœur, coeur calmed. She nuzzled Kowalski's neck playfully, and held his flippers.
"I've been wanting to do that for so long now." Kowalski said, stroking her hair gently.
"Me too." Emma replied, leaning her head on his shoulder again, and remembering about the meteor shower. They relaxed, and watched the shower, cuddling in each others flippers, both of them feeling fully complete for the first time in their lives. They both finally had the one they loved.
