It's gonna be way better methinks, as now it's established as a competition of epic levels.

I love the evil monkey option, but FGT stands or falls based on the entrants, not on the judges. It won't be the same without debs shameless promotion, but hopefully the rest of us can promote it in our own way, and actually get more people to participate. Not a lot of advance notice to get the word out before competition opened, though. We'll see.

Edit: On that note, has someone followed up with the dozens on people who've written to the forum in the past year, saying that they would have loved to have participated but didn't know about it until after FGT 2008 was closed? I don't want to spam people by sending multiple messages, but someone should contact them if it hasn't happened already. Immediately.

Although I only sent it to users who expressed an interest. I am going to give it a little while and then send it to people who entered last year, I don't want to bug people after entries have been open for a total of one day.
