Just a few of the hundreds
Just a few of the hundreds
After creating my link spot and noting the severe lack of members, curiosity got me to searching for spots on fanpop that only had a single member (generally, their creator).

I came across spots that were months old and still only had a single member such as Chel's link spot, harold's link spot, ou berly's link spot. And I thought to myself, these spots were created to meet other fans and yet there appeared to be no other fans of these topics on all of fanpop? Ridiculous! Or... maybe it's true.

Some of the one-fan spots seemed very obscure (to me, at least), so it's quite possible that there just simply aren't that many folks on fanpop who are fans of these things.

This made me sad and happy at the same time. Sad because of the fact that it's hard to meet fans with that interest, but happy because in a way I think it makes these spots special, these one-fan spots, and I wanted to celebrate them, to salute them, if toi will. Because their creators obviously cared enough to take time out of their jour to make the icones ou banners and add content to a spot that no one looks at. If toi ask me, that is serious dedication. Now, it goes without saying that most of these spots have unrated content, so if you're a crazy rating fiend (kathiria, maybeastarbucks), then toi might wanna check these spots out. ou not. But toi can at least appreciate them in all of their uniqueness.

At the time this article was written, there were exactly 482 spots under "Pending Spots" that had just one fan. This article is for toi Rebelle souls who contribute to these lonely spot islands, adrift in the fanpop sea. We salute you!

Alright so this is just for a laugh really, what toi change isn't permanent anyway, only toi cans ee it and when toi refresh everything will change to normal again anyway so it s just for a laugh really so I'm going to teach toi how to éditer fanpop clubs for your eyes only, toi can have a bit of fun with things toi hate ou love!

First toi will be needing:

- Google Chrome
- A fanpop Account

Open up Chrome

Go to fanpop and log in

Go to the club toi want to éditer (or maybe even someones profile, ou yours)

Right click on something toi want to change (For example, the fan count) and click Inspect Element...

if we wanted to change the fan count, let's say the fan count on the group we wanted to change was 200. Look for '200' in the inspect element database thingy...

Then éditer it and press enter ou f10 to save it

toi can do this with pretty much anything (see my example)

Okay, for the past two months I have steadily grown addicted to this website. Maybe it's all the free time I have these days, ou maybe it's just I have an addictive personaily. It could of course be that this website is pure brilliance and I constantly think about it. Does that make me sad? No way! Because I can bet I'm not the only one. So here's a checklist of how to know when you've crossed the line between fanpop-addict, and totally-crazy. :)

1. toi form an opinion on something and think "I'm going to immediately make a pick about this"...and then the rest of your plan for the jour goes out...

Hey everyone,

I felt like écriture about the constant reposting of icones from livejournal, because I have become a very active lj user in the past months and I know of many lj people who are annoyed as hell to see their icones posté here.

First of all I'd like to say that I did it too. Yes, I took icones that were posté on livejournal and posté them here with credit.
Now toi might say: Okay, but if people credit them, why is there a problem? It's not as if the lj people own the original pictures they icon.
This is of course true, but I think it is plus about respect and being polite.

Imagine you...

To like ou not to like? That is the question.

Earlier tonight, the ratings system of fanpop experienced a massive overhaul. No longer can toi rate content on a scale of one to five (ala YouTube), but if toi like content, toi can "like" it (ala Facebook), ou "be a fan" of it.

Dave gave a very good, logical explanation for the change to help assuage some fears and answer some questions:

"Hi Guys,

Thanks for making this pick. There are a lot of reasons we wanted to create a new system for deciding whether fans like something ou not. We found that most people were rating either 4 ou 5 stars so we thought...

If toi must promote a club, try these tips.
If you must promote a club, try these tips.
Re-reading the various articles about promoting clubs on Fanpop, it occurred to me that some fairly basic ideas were missing for promoting the clubs toi like (not just the ones toi create, but any clubs toi enjoy).

Many of the précédant etiquette articles and forum threads have described things to avoid in promoting a club, as well as suggestions for things to do. For once, I'm not going to rant about undesirable behavior (that's the plan, anyway), but just keep the focus on other things fans can try to promote their favori clubs. This was last edited on 27 March 2009.

Prolog: Encouragement...
