Duplicate images tend to really bother me in certain spots, and I’ve observed that I’m far from the only one. I know it’s difficult sometimes to know if an image has been uploaded into a spot ou not when there are 999,483,937 uploads, especially when they’re lacking in the mot-clé department.

Google has this nice new feature called a Reverse Image Search. With a reverse image search, toi are able to mettre en ligne ou link an image into the chercher bar and you’ll be donné a liste of web pages containing your selected image.

(I’m about to walk toi through the steps. I’ll be using a picture from link)

* First, visit link. (tinyeye.com is also another reverse image chercher engine, but it doesn’t have fanpop in its database, so don’t bother.)
* Click on the camera icone located at the end of the chercher bar.
camera icone located at the end of the chercher bar (click to enlarge)

---A box will pop up. If toi have the image saved to your computer, click on the “upload an image” link, and… mettre en ligne the image. If it’s easier to get the image URL, get the url and paste it in the textbox.
"A box will pop up" (click to enlarge)
"A box will pop up" (click to enlarge)

*Click chercher and you’ll be taken to a liste of results, as Google usually does. In some cases, such as this one, Google will add a word to describe your image.
"Google will add a word to describe your image" (click to enlarge)
"Google will add a word to describe your image" (click to enlarge)

"Google will add a word to describe your image" (click to enlarge)
"Google will add a word to describe your image" (click to enlarge)

---In most cases, if the image is already uploaded onto Fanpop, it will be displayed as one of the haut, retour au début results
*If fanpop doesn’t come up as one of the results,
try erasing Google’s guess and type in “Fanpop”, then click chercher again.
*By this point, toi should have your answer.
"By this point, toi should have your answer" (Click to enlarge)
"By this point, toi should have your answer" (Click to enlarge)

The haut, retour au début result will ALWAYS be:

Fanpop - fan clubs for everything. What are toi a fan of?
www.fanpop.com/
Fanpop is a network of fan clubs for fans of television, movies, musique and plus to discuss and share photos, videos, news and opinions with fellow fans. 42 images...”

So ignore that.
What toi need to look for is the results that follow. If toi don't get any fanpop results, then you’re sûr, sans danger to mettre en ligne the image without committing the crime of duplication.

If toi DO get a fanpop result, make sure toi follow the link and actually check which spot it was uploaded to. (You wouldn’t want to miss out on your opportunity just because someone uploaded the same image to the aléatoire spot 2.5 years il y a ou because it’s the thumbnail of some video)

If toi get plus than one fanpop result, then that most likely means that the image has been uploaded to plus than one spot, as demonstrated below.
"image has been uploaded to plus than one spot" (Click to enlarge)
"image has been uploaded to plus than one spot" (Click to enlarge)

ou that the image appears on plus than one url in one single spot, which is completely normal (the spot’s homepage, image page, fonds d’écran page, the page for the image itself, the related images thumbnail, a pick icon, etc.)

ou that a duplicate was added at some point ou another.

Here’s to hopes for less duplicate images.
Cheers!

I guess you're already kind of resolved about this, but I thought I'd tell toi my standing on it anyway.

If I receive messages and mur posts asking for me to rejoindre spots ou 'fan' content from Fanpoppers who I have had no prior contact with, and I'm busy, I simply ignore their pleas, with the sûr, sans danger assumption that they've sent them to dozens of people, and even if I didn't want to upset them par being non-responsive, they wouldn't notice.
However, when I have nothing on my hands (Fanpop-wise), I tend to check out their content and see if it's any good, and if I think it contributes to the club well,...

or: "Basic information about removing your account"

Special thanks to link, our fanpop guinea pig. (or should I say lab rat?)

Removing your own account is a pretty new feature, many people may not be aware of it yet.
If toi go to Edit Profile and scroll all the way down, you'll find:
If you'd like to remove your account, click here.

Now what does this mean?

If toi supprimer your account, toi must know that:
Your contributions will not be deleted.

All your images, links, comments, forum posts, mur posts, réponses remain on fanpop, suivant to your username.
If toi click on that nom d’utilisateur however, toi will be...

The fanpop website has been around for quite a few years now- 3 years in fact, and whilst it is still relatively unknown compared to the likes of Myspace, Facebook and the so-called phenomenon known as Twitter, it is still for me THE website that I pay a visit to on a regular basis.

Fanpop was formerly a small relatively unknown website, whose number of members have grown, mois par month, an par year.

With features such as uploading images, submitting website liens to other articles and toi Tube vidéos to écriture articles, opinion pieces and posting your works of art and creating trivia questions,...

Well, I started using fanpop back in May 2007, and since then I see how the community keeps increasing in numbers which is great. I haven't been the most active user for a while now, but as I a dit somewhere else, I've always loved the site and therefore I come back every once in a while to spend some time fanpopping.

There is something I've noticed lately, that is obviously hard to control as the amount of users grows, but I thought I would point it out. What I noticed is a serious misunderstanding of the idea behind the "props" feature.

~ Let's start with the basics, according to the Online...

The concept of the hommage is wonderful. fanpop is a user based site and users should have the ability to reward others for their hard work. I also agree with the idea behind hommage Day. It should serve as a reminder to all users to give that reward. However, the hommage system has become flawed. Very flawed. I happened upon a user profil and saw several props. I looked to see when the user started Fanpopping and saw that it had only been two months. Wow! This person must have added tons of content. So I looked at the activity. No liens had been added, no videos, no images (mind you, the profil had...

I'm not afraid of you, Ghost!
I'm not afraid of you, Ghost!
So I was hanging out on my computer this evening, watching some vidéos and browsing on Fanpop, when I noticed something that disturbed me. In not one, but two different spots. I discovered several examples of what I believe to be "Ghost Accounts".

"Ghost Accounts" are what I'm calling additional accounts created par an already existing fanpop member to skew the results of a pick ou an argument in their favor. I have read things posté par other Fanpoppers suggesting their existence in the past, but hadn't knowingly spotted any for myself. Tonight I believe I spotted three different people doing...

I did it again.

I accidentally hit the "start chat" tab again.

And couldn't remember how make it go away.

I've had this problem a few times before and have to re-learn it every time.

For some reason, I'm always under the impression that the solution lies under my profil settings.

It does not.

So now there is an article to remind me, and anyone else who needs it, how to get rid of this dang thang.

 NOOOOOO
NOOOOOO

Step 1: Under the "contacts" tab, click "I am online." The words, not the pencil. If toi click the pencil, it will complicate things and you'll have to reload the page.

Step 2: Click "Log out."

Anddd we're back to normal. Carry on.

It's not the most obvious way out, but it's easy once toi finally remember how to do it, so I hope this helps cut down on some frustration. (If not for you, at least for me suivant time I accidentally open it and frantically chercher for a solution. =P)

Have toi noticed that people on this site add lots and lots of things and gain load's of fans then out of nowhere are never adding again ou only add now and then. Look through your fan liste and see who is still adding and praise them for there loyalty and praise even plus ou even hommage them for their work, they all deserve it.

par the way this is my first soapbox

Ok, I usually don't make user guides but this one needs to be made. I have seen a lot of picks and a lot of them are boring ou annoying. Here is a liste of steps to help toi out.

1. Try to have plus than three réponses if possible. If the question is "Who should Jim be with?" Put, Karen and Pam, and then put an answer like neither ou Katy.

2.Always have pictures for the question if it isn't a yes, no, ou maybe question. Pictures bring in plus fans and make the picks plus interesting.

3. Try to ask questions that people haven't already asked and questions that people will be interested in. Don't make it boring.

Now these are the three golden steps to making a good, quality pick on fanpop. If toi feel I need to add anything, then please leave it in the comments.

I have a pet peeve.

As a writer, I have found my stuff posté on other websites without my permission, and sometimes without so much as a mention that it was MY article... ou a link back to the original. This ticks me off, and it is illegal to do so.

I have not come across this on fanpop with articles yet, but I have seen it numerous times on images.

Some of the people I adore the most are even doing it. I have to assume innocence here and figure some folks just don't know... so I'ma tell ya ;)

Credit. Credit. Credit. The option to add the photo credit when toi soumettre an image is there for a reason....

I'm guessing a lot of people have all ready have found this problem but if toi don't understand then it's like this:
One jour I decided to create a new club of something that didn't exist as a club yet but I couldn't find the 'Create a club' button. Trust me I looked high and low for the thing but couldn't find it. When I logged out of my account at last there I saw it, the 'Create a club button' so when I clicked on it they of course asked me to sign back in but when I did I was the same position I was in before clicking.
For some people this problem don't seem to happen but for people like me who want to create clubs but can't because the button is unavailable well it's frustrating. I've been looking abound for some kind of answer but the only thing that came up was a link link
this only leads to toi having to sign in again. I don't know if it's the signing in thing that's the problem but it really shouldn't be.
Please fix this problem Fanpop!

 Why are mots-clés so important?
Why are keywords so important?
What are keywords?

Why should I use them?

How can mots-clés help me?

Keywords are tags that toi place on the content toi soumettre to fanpop so that other fans can find it. toi don't need to use a lot of them, just the relevant ones. You'll want to use words that describe what's in the content. Who is in it, what episode it's from, etc.

Example:
supernatural, dean, 4x18, the monster at the end of this book
supernatural, dean, 4x18, the monster at the end of this book

This example is very simple. It's an icone from the montrer Supernatural [keyword], the subject is Dean [keyword], it's from episode 4x18 [keyword] 'The Monster at the End of This Book' [keyword]....

Well guys, I joined this club a long time ago, but I never felt the need to vote ou write an article here. This article is important right now. And if toi are reading, can toi write in the commentaires after toi read what I can do?

I had such a habit until now, I had discovered a few series on Netflix and watched them periodically, but I started to get bored. Of course they were all great shows, especially H20, but I needed something new. Moreover, our school gave a one-week vacation so I thought this would be my chance. And I discovered an incredibly beautiful series, "Scaredy Cats." The drama...
