there's princesses, both official and unofficial, that I loved but now have a hard time even liking because of either all the hate the fans give that princess or because I've had fans get mad at me for multiple reasons like pointing out a flaw or loving a princess. It's gotten to a point where any time I try to enjoy that princess' movie or even think about that princess I remember all the stupid arguments I got into or had people getting offended that I liked that princess

No, if anything fans have made me like certain characters more :)

Fans can be obnoxious, no doubt. But when I get hate mail that contains threats to harm me physically, I think I am entitled not to like that character anymore.

I am a fan of Merida and the movie Brave but there are a few users (one in particular) that makes me question my feelings at times.

Not really, maybe Ariel a tiiiiny bit which is sad since she was my childhood favorite, but if anything most fans have made me like certain princesses more, namely the classics.
