They may not be among Disney's most smart heroines, but I don't see Anna being credited for rescuing Elsa and her kingdom.

My rant about people's sayings about Ariel is the typical one. She saved Atlatida from a situation that she wasn't the only responsible for creating (Ursula was a danger to everyone), she even rescued the merpeople she had trapped. She may have been impulsive, but she followed her dreams with all her heart and managed to rescue Eric twice.

I'm sick of seeing people wanting Disney to make heroines that are able to face everything with one hand tied and have no flaws. Or that DPs can't have their pairings. I'm sure that most these people want to find a companion as well. What's the problem with wanting true love? Don't the heroes get their girls at the end as well?

Ariel is my favorite and Anna is my 2nd. I specially like that Disney dared to do a failed, romantic princess in 2013. Because most everyone is failed and romantic.

JungleQueen13 picked Just Ariel:
I agree about Ariel because too often she is criticised for "giving up her legs/voice for a man" - this is outside of Fanpop obviously, but it shows little understanding of the circumstances of the movie.

On the other hand, I feel that Frozen/Anna's feminism was overstated. Yes, Anna is determined and by no means a bad character and I feel she is appropriately commended for this, but I don't think she's as pro-feminism as she has been made out to be. The way her relationship with Kristoff developed let her down.

Yes both ! Maybe a little more ariel because she is often criticized based on false argument "she change only for a men bla bla bla..."

I wrote a whole essay on why Anna is an anti-feminist character. But Ariel is definitely, to me, a feminist character.

I don't think Anna is a feminist character, but yes she's determined and well-rounded character. But Ariel is sort of a feminist character, that's why I pick yes then :D

AudreyFreak picked Just Anna:
Anna is allowed to love and be loved, be flawed and make mistakes while her good attributes are never really glossed over, she doesn't exist to prop up Kristoff's story or ~improve his life. So yes. Although I think the movie tries way harder to be feminist with Elsa. Not always successfully (in that they do gloss over Elsa's mistakes while Anna must constantly apologize for and try to correct not only hers but Elsa's).
