I'm considering, if I ever do get the chance to remake The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea to give Ariel and Eric a second child. I don't have a name for him or a fleshed out personality yet, which I know is TERRIBLE when creating an OC, which I agree with, but it's different here. We know what his parents look like and since Melody looks like both of her parents but looks more like her father, it makes sense to do the same with a son except have him look more like Ariel. I also gave him Eric's eye color, since Melody has Ariel's eye color. Besides, this is just him dressed up with his family, how he would look in normal clothes would reflect his personality more, though the story is more focused on Melody, of course.

I also tried giving Ariel and Eric more of the colors they had in the original movie, which is why Ariel's purple dress looks different because I used the colors of her purple shell bra. I also had this be more of an aftermath picture that you might see as an end credit picture, which is why there are some differences. Melody is wearing her necklace and Ariel has her hair down. I think it would show how she's letting herself be part of her ocean roots again. She had to separate herself that for 12 years to protect her daughter, which is emphasized even more with her hair being up in a bun. When it was in a ponytail at the beginning it was showing being between two worlds, although she unfortunately had to cut herself off with logic that the parents from Frozen would use.

With all the problems that this mediocre movie (that I still LOVE for nostalgic reasons and guilty pleasure), it does have a good sense of symbolism in it, such as Ariel's hair. Along with how Ariel misses her roots, family, and friends so she puts her bare feet in the water to have some kind of connection to it again. Anyway, I hope you guys like this picture and tell me what you think.

It's good but the proportions of the heads and necks are pretty off, especially for Eric. I would try to work on that next.
