Since red hair is a trait that is dying out, I consider strawberry blonde to be more red-haired then blonde. I think it's a shame to portray Cinderella as a platinum blonde when she clearly was not.

Also, Disney originally marketed her as a "red-head" as the original 3 were meant to be brunette/black/dark-haired like Snow, red-head/strawberry-blonde like Cinderella and then golden blonde like Aurora.

^^I agree with laylastepford. I wouldn't consider her full-on red-head, but I wouldn't consider her full-on blonde, either. This choice is most accurate, since it has the words "strawberry blonde".

Also, I hate that blonde color they use for her in adaptions. It's too Barbie and not enough Cinderella.

I call her a strawberry-blonde, but generally group her with the "blonde" princesses. I do the same with Anna, but generally group her with the "red-head" princesses. Cinderella's hair just seems more blonde than red to me, while Anna's seems more red than blonde.

A red head, if not only for the reason that DIsney wanted diversity in the designs of his girls from the start (Snow raven, Cindy red and Aurora dirty blonde).

She is strawberry blonde, so yeah, that is a variation of blonde hair.

Burnt Orange or Strawberry blonde I believe it's called. I look at the blonde version and I can't take her seriously. Diversity is good.

^ I feel the same, cant take the blonde version seriously. Didn't grow up with the adapted version and find it a tad insulting to Walt to change her hair color.

I consider Cinderella a strawberry blonde, which is pretty much in between blonde and red hair. But because she's always marketed as a blonde in merchandise and stuff, I see her as a blonde. I don't like how bright blonde they made her hair now though. Anyway, you make a poll including her as a redhead and you get a bunch of comments like "I thought she was a blonde" or you make a poll of her as a blonde and you get a bunch of comments like "nope, she's a redhead." XD It really is just a matter of opinion I think.

I think the fact that blonde is winning shows the power of the incessant media. It's a real shame because factually, she's just not as blonde as her adaptations. The problem is that Disney just changed her after the film which really shouldn't be allowed. It's not only insulting to Walt Disney and the original character but to everyone who grew up with her before the change. The change seems to me to be for marketing reasons because blondes are more marketable than Cinderella's unique and unordinary yet original hair color. To me, the biggest shame is how the majority would rather choose the blonde fake/changed version because "that's what the merchandise goes with" that was conformed to be more "common" and make more money yet we tell young girls to celebrate what makes them unique and not change to be more "common". So which is it? Mighty confusing to me and I personally think they should've left the iconic princess in her normal and original state.
