It's something that annoys me about all the Princesses that are actual royalty. Jasmine's the only one out of all of them that seems to care for the people she will be ruling, and it's only Aladdin at that. A guy she has the hots for.

I'm sure they take care of royal duties on their everyday basis rather than during all the drama of their movies

Don't they care for their people by Anna going to get Elsa to un-freeze the kingdom and come back as ruler? (Also they all were frightened by Elsa at one point so what was she supposed to do?)

^ Anna doesn't really seem to go after Anna to stop the winter, but more to get her sister back. I don't really see her thinking in the best interests of her people at all (If she was, why would she place Hans in charge, why would she even leave in the first place? During a crisis, the de facto ruler can't just leave, they have to be there to provide stability and resources for their people. If Anna was really acting in the best interests of her people, she would have likely first sent guards.)

And Elsa doesn't seem to care for her people at all. She is mostly concerned with 'being free' and 'letting it go' than she is with proving a stable ruler as substitute in her absence (is Anna really the best choice for queen? Especially without guidance?) Not that i blame her, I mean after living such a repressed and fearful life, it's no wonder that she acts the way she does. But this doesn't escape the fact that she still acts with apathy towards her people. Running away is the easy thing to do. But very often the easy thing is not the right thing.

there's literally no evidence for this. their actions are deeply rooted in what they think is best for their people, even if they disagree on how to do it, and even if those things don't do their people much good at first.

elsa runs away because she worries she's done enough damage and that any any attempt by her to fix it will only make things worse for everyone. while she's in self-exile, what's so wrong with finally getting to express actual feelings for the first time in years? let it go is where she finally gets to experiment with her powers; tbh good for her. she spent most of her childhood emotionally and actually on lockdown to protect her kingdom.

anna tries to get elsa to come back because she wants her sister in her life, sure, but more than that it's because she feels elsa is the only one who can lift the curse on arendelle.

i get that there's a lot of dumb stuff in frozen, but the idea that neither of these women care about their people is quite a reach.

Yeah. Agree with Aang_Lite, kinda. Anna at least says to Elsa, that Arendelle froze because of her, and Elsa "should care enough to come back with Anna and fix things."

But Frozen is not a coherent movie, so, there isn't a lot going for either of them....

also, @aang lite, jasmine was definitely willling to skip out on her future as a ruler who could've done things for her people if it meant she couldn't marry for love, lol. and apparently didn't care enough about reform to learn basic stuff like how money works.

no way she cares more than they do.
