I love both but Ariel is tied with Melody as my favorite fictional character

This was a hard one, but Ariel is my favorite.

Thumbelina is not bad.

Omg, she's so adorable. :3 I love her.

They are both such cute characters.

Thumbelina is such a damsel in distress. And didn't stand up for herself even one. She can't say "no". She is a cute character but Ariel is way more awesome than she is. I especially got annoyed when cried when someone told her she was't beautiful. As if that was the only thing that should' concerned her.

Thumbelina does stand up for herself, she says she won't marry Mr. Mole at the wedding because she doesn't love him, tells the Toad she's not marrying him and that she's going home, tells the beetle that she's not his toots several times, and tells the bird (I know his name but I can't spell it) that he needs to get a taste of reality and for him to take her home. She does stand up for herself, she's not the best character or even one of the best but she's still great and stands up for herself. She was strong because she just wanted to go home and was going to start all over now that her love was "dead".

definitely <3 she reminds me of Aurora and Ariel together. She's a fairy tale heroine who actually ACTS like a fairy tale heroine! (I think Ariel does too but most of these heroines don't.)
