And I mean this question as in when some people have a dumb or not a very good reason for disliking a character, or their reasoning is way off the point of the character. [Ex: someone saying Ariel is a shallow gold digger and that's the reason she went for prince Eric; for his money. If someone said this they would be completely misunderstanding the situation and character, so one may jump in to help that person understand better, but not necessarily to change their opinion to comfort their own opinion of their favorite character.]

It depends; usually if it's something silly, I won't care so I'll leave it at that. But if their reasoning is COMPLETELY a misinterpretation of the character or their surrounding/predicaments, I'll try to clear up what is happening and say why I disagree, and believe what they're saying is absurd or otherwise irrelevant to the character. I would attempt to educate the person on what is happening for strictly educational purposes, not to satisfy myself in the thought that this person no longer disliked my favorite character for an invalid reason.

But really it depends. Usually I'll start some debate or something.

I would usually say something but I know that people just perceive things differently I guess. And I encourage people to be blunt and not sugar-coat things too much. And by defending my favorite all the time, some might feel uncomfortable openly expressing their opinions. I hope that makes sense lol.

Of course. The negative comments aimed at Cinderella are usually very unfair and illogical. However, if the reason is reasonable (i.e, "I don't like her sense of humor"), then it's fine with me.

With Aurora, I can see why some people would have her low, so it doesn't really bother me. I do shae my opinion, but I never try to force feed it down anyone or anything. Ultimately I don't really care. They have their favorites, I have mine, let the storm rage on.

Or I don't say anything. But I don't usually quiz people on their opinion, I just put forward my own if anyone wants to consider it.

Just like dealing with my elder brother, he hates Mulan and you wouldn't believe those invalid arguments he makes. He doesn't even give the movie a change so it's completely worthless to even try to argument with him. I never say anything and I don't care if he sometimes say something. I just keep everything Mulan and disney related hidden in order to avoid his ridiculous and unwanted comments.

Basically everything on here but the 'I don't care.' Lol to the Cinderella one, that's me when people try to annoy me, just with out the bad language.

I would justify my own views and ask them why they think that and feel like that. let's just say that someone calls Jasmine a whore. I defend her by saying that she never wanted anyone else, and her showing off a belly does not make her a whore. Why do you think that she is a whore? They say because she has no clothes, flirts, kissed Jafar, and we could have a debate. Where things go wrong and ugly when I am in a debate is when some people think that what they are saying is the golden saying and that they are so much better and we know little to nothing compared to them or something like that. Where most people here would stop, I go on because I ALWAYS defend myself and what I believe in and if things get ugly, then they get ugly. If ti is completely pointless and the same things are being repeated and I am not being heard, then I will leave. I am sure some of you saw this from me before, because sugar coating only makes things worse for me.

Well, I'm not one to speak up or express my opinions....but if it's my favorite character and the insults are lame, I'm going to jump to that character's defense.

It depends on the situation for me. Sometimes I am not afraid to speak my voice, especially when their claims are weak and quite frankly, pathetic, but sometimes I just stay out of it.

I don't want to cause any trouble, so I just ignore them. There a few times when I speak my mind, but that's only when their reasons are really stupid.
