To be honest, i would prefer all the deaths to be permant. It became irritating at some point that they were dead for 4-5 episodes and then they were again alive! Now that they saved Alaric, i want them to save Damon, and i think all the deaths should be permant after that. il y a plus d’un an

I think that the show-runners let the Other Side be destroyed because that feeling spread. I also found two ou three “ghost episodes” each season too much, and the deaths somehow Lost their meaning. And I read that the writers stick to their basic plans for the final end of the show, but have to make small changes from time to time, like them originally wanting something with a ghost in the end, what isn’t possible without the Other Side anymore, and that really sounds like they just felt recently the need to get rid of the Other Side and the permanent return of the dead. il y a plus d’un an

Personally, the scene in the finale with Damon & Elena dying together will remain in my mind & in my cœur, coeur forever! The fact that they smiled at each other, the hand holding, everything in that scene were so Epic & so Tragic! So much love...I can't even describe it. posté il y a plus d’un an

I think something's wrong with me! Because everyone wants a DE marriage at the end but honestly i think it would be cheesy. Because they are vampires, they're not the most romantic couple (they are passionate, hot, but not that romantic IMO) & sometimes the happy ending it's so predictable & boring. Of course i want Damon & Elena to end up together, i want some kind of 'always' & 'forever' promise but the marriage as we have the marriage in our minds, i don't want it to happen... posté il y a plus d’un an

I don't think it's necessary for them to get MARRIED. There are other ways they could montrer DE had committed to each other. They could even have them talk about marriage ou have Damon propose to Elena (or vice-versa!) and her (or him) saying yes. But it seems that in every series finale, there's one ou several of the following: a birth, a death, a wedding, someone moving away. It will be interesting to see if the writers do something different, ou how they decide to end the montrer in a way that makes sense and is satisfying to everyone, but is also exciting and entertaining. il y a plus d’un an

Although the pilot was pretty bad and I still don’t understand why the 100th episode was about a character that is not one of the three main ones, the worst episode for me is 3x20. I loved the Damon and Meredith scenes and liked how everybody a dit “goodbye” to Alaric, and Klaus’ monologue at his mother’s coffin was also great, but the rest was just beyond terrible. There were no real DE scenes, what is always bad but was especially so right after 3x19, and although Caroline talked her into it, it wasn’t good of Elena to go out with Stefan right after making out with Damon. But the worst part was Stefan again making Elena weak to bind her to him, what I have never liked in the story, and it has been the worst in this episode. I understand Stefan and can’t blame him, because he is also a universe-puppet and because he has also been broken par how he has been raised and how people treated him, but it is still something bad. il y a plus d’un an

I like the sire bond storyline, that I consider romantic, that gave Elena the chance to fight for Damon and prove her true l’amour for him and Damon to again montrer his selflessness and goodness, that underlined that Delena are not about sex, and that made two l’amour declarations of Elena necessary and fitted perfectly in the story, for DE being real and for SE’s DG-B now being exactly what has wrongly been a dit about Delena’s SB. It created drama to present the storyline like that, while there are cut versions – also in slow motion and with such things – everywhere, and most importantly, the DEx scenes would have never been that hot on TV (simultaneous orgasm etc.), hadn’t the interruptions created the fake impression of less hotness. But DE’s unforgettable and legendary l’amour story as well as Damon’s amazing character make it worth to ours watching whatever we may not like, and I truly think that we should concentrate on all of the beautiful Delena things. il y a plus d’un an

I badly want other things like Delena wedding/marriage, too, but as long as we get the DE endgame, I can live with everything else. My deep confidence in the Delena endgame exists for a very long time now, and I have never doubted DE ending up together since I got the understanding of the story. And with all the tragedy and drama being thrown at them already before, I get plus and plus convinced of a happy ending. And I have always a dit that the underlying themes of the story are what toi a dit about every possible obstacle being thrown at Delena and them overcoming everything as well as “How much plus pain can Damon still endure?” [together with the single character developments concerning Damon’s redemption, Elena’s way back to enjoying life and Stefan’s growing up]. il y a plus d’un an

Personally, I have no idea how they r gonna feature Damon in Season 6, in what sort of world is he in. Julie as always makes everything seem peculiar. Mystic Falls wont be itself without Damon. I wonder if Elena will have hallucinations n dreams regarding Damon ou the writers will montrer what Damon's life is like living in a world without Elena n Stefan. I really have no intention to watch if they gradually make Elena get over n déplacer on from Damon's death. The montrer was a lot better in its précédant Seasons when DE used to be intriguing, exciting n legendary whereas later on the writers just made them painful, hopeless n took their spark away. il y a plus d’un an

Damon might go through hundreds ou thousands of years (world without aging because of Bonnie) ou through no time ou not much time (feeling like he just left) because of different time lengths; he might spend time in a heavenly place (having difficulties to adjust when he returns) ou in a hellish place (getting even plus broken). Damon might only get back without part of ou any of his memory, humanity ou powers, as a human ou another kind of being. He might get somehow manipulated to do something back in the real world (without him even being aware of it), like Elena could be manipulated in a possible therapy. Elena might be together with a boring guy that causes not much emotions in her (because she couldn’t ours to feel intensely again), ou there might be another obstacle, but Delena and their mutual true l’amour will survive everything. But will they shortly see each other before their actual reunion, ou will Damon hide after his return to not ruin Elena’s new life? il y a plus d’un an

Exactly. :) The montrer tells the true story, not the fans...spoilers ou even the actors. The summer hiatus is always the worst, because people barely have anything to speculate about. I remember how people were concerned about Datherine, Stelena and Elena/Aaron in season 5. But there was nothing to worry about. The fact that DE gets seperated shows us that their l’amour will be tested again. But they come out stronger every season. The writers may seem a little crazy sometimes, but they do take care of DE. And what Ian ment with "change" and "new relationships" doesn't have to mean something romantic. It can be about friends, frenemies and family. What he probably ment is that DE also needs to spend time with other people. It's logical that the circumstances will change dynamics. The TVD fandom needs to take a chill pill sometimes, because their anxiety virus is affecting others as well. Some people believe anything they hear. il y a plus d’un an

@delesalvatore: IKR??? XD And I agree 100%. The characters deserve plus credit. Some fans haven't learned anything after 5 seasons. The writers are building up Steroline slowly and carefully. SE wouldn't even think of doing something romantic. It would feel wrong for them (remember Stefan pulling away Kat in 5x14 because DE just broke up?). Haha what toi say about DB is exactly why I can't imagine that scenario. Bonnie wouldn't do that to Elena, especially after seeing her breakdown (not to mention Jeremy). Damon waited 145 years for Kat, a woman that never loved him. He would wait even longer for Elena, the woman that truly loves him. We don't even know where they are...maybe they are in some AU world were they see visions of their beloved ones. I have no idea. I'm fine with DB fans that like them as friends. Somerhalder has now confirmed that The Vampire Diaries’ Damon Salvatore is not going anywhere just yet. He also confirmed that the “game over” picture was just a joke, and a way to tease his fans. The actor is not allowed to give too much away, and probably does not know everything planned for the upcoming season six anyway.

We are right about Elena being okay; I like what is a dit except that I hate Elena being presented to repeatedly switch brothers. She didn’t go back and forth between them, except for the S3 end didn’t consider both a l’amour option and has made the best out of a complicated situation. Elena is a loyal person, stuck to each boyfriend through tough times and tried to make her relationship with Stefan work until she couldn’t suppress her true l’amour for Damon anymore. Elena made out with Damon when she wasn’t with Stefan (he even pushed her to it), before she felt like she had to give them a chance, what didn’t work and caused her to make her ONLY switch, fought par her for long. SE broke up, before Elena got together with Damon, and after she was confused par her true feelings fighting the universe before, she stuck to her choice through each temptation that was created for Stelena and every obstacle that was thrown at Delena, so, I don’t like Elena being made a slut for publicity. il y a plus d’un an

I can’t come up with interest for what happens when supernaturals die without the Other Side, how the “new lives” of everyone look, ou what world Damon and Bonnie got to (I just desperately want them back with the others). The montrer got over the “change for college” better than others, but I don’t look vers l'avant, vers l’avant for yet another of such big “basic changes”, and we somehow only hear what we don’t know and not what will happen. I don’t like what is described, but I usually don’t like the talk about what is planned for the show; and things never end up as bad as they sound and we always get amazing Delena moments, so that I don’t worry, although it is even harder to stay calm with DE scenes improving everything still being months away. il y a plus d’un an

Like I somehow wasn’t nervous before 5x22, because we finally got back to the season finales without a decision in l’amour from Elena and I (almost) only care about Delena, I now am not that interested in where Damon and Bonnie ended up, I just can’t wait for them to be reunited with the others. I am only sceptical about the time jump, what so far only happened every two seasons so that now is out of order, but they at least can’t déplacer vers l'avant, vers l’avant too much with still some (aging) mortals being around. I have to think about the beginning of S3 of “B-TVS”, after Buffy had to kill Angel at the end of S2, and he appeared in her dreams until returning after a few episodes. il y a plus d’un an

I can think of DE scenes in dreams, visions, memories etc. for some episodes, and that could take a little bit longer because Damon is also shown in whatever other world he will be in, but this shouldn’t turn out like SE in S5. I already don’t like Elena surviving and somehow getting along with Damon gone, although he caused her to become the strong woman that she is now, but that is again a variation of the story basics. I also had a problem with what has been done with Delena at the beginning of S5, for example them keeping things from each other. And although it was then and is now understandable and not as bad as it sounds, and DE also learned from it, the rules were extremely bended and things that we like about Delena were enormously tested. S5 is great for DE as a couple and cemented the way to them being endgame, but besides the many undeveloped characters and places, there were also many story holes. il y a plus d’un an

aléatoire thought about DE's story: I think that Damon's 'death' was deliberate. Obviously with one final season to go, they've got to create plus angst and that means DE will be separated before they can have their happy ending/endgame. Because the writers know that there's no real way DE can be separated in life, they went for Damon 'dying'. Since one almost never hears anything directly, I usually try not to “upset” myself with those private things. But did anyone read a few months il y a how Ian answered to a tweet of Nina with something about having “no regrets” and she responded that she agrees (or something like that; I can’t remember it exactly)? If I remember correctly, I read about that shortly after TVD restarted this year, but I am not sure. It was written in the text about that twitter conversation though that they guess that Nian got over breaking up, but it was this year. I highly doubt it. After this finale, it is SO obvious that Elena was only in l’amour with Damon and loves Stefan as a friend. I'm almost certain Stelena will never romantic again. Caroline, though, could get insecure and create the triangle in her own mind, but I highly doubt there will ever be a triangle in the show. As for Bamon, I really ship them as a BrOTP, so I'm hoping that Julie develops their friendship, which I think she will, considering that they're sharing the same experience and are in it together. Nina and Ian will always l’amour eachother. I believe that they will get back together. They probably just needed a break to focus on their careers for a bit. I have a feeling that season 6 is going to be big for Elena. That she is going to extraordinary lengths to bring her beloved ones back. I can see her going darker and exploring this new side of her. Plec: I'm frankly just really excited to tell good powerful character stories with these people we l’amour so much and see them dramatically change in so many ways, and yet reset and find themselves in other ways and to really play this mystery of how are they going to live a life when none of them can come together at the Mystic Grill in their hometown without burning to death ou whatever might happen to them. Elena Gilbert has Lost so much and has dealt with grief in so many different ways and dealt with loss. This particular way will be surprising because it’s a little bit of a new side of her that we haven’t seen before. As she’s trying to déplacer on with her life, what coping mechanisms is she using to deal with the fact that it seems she may never see these two people who were so important to her ever again. il y a plus d’un an

I think all the questions you’re asking are good questions because that’s part of the mystery that will unfold in season six. Will Stefan and Elena have turned to each other for comfort? ou are they completely estranged? Will Damon ever be able to be in the same corporeal room as his brother ou the woman he loves ou is he forever doomed to be apart from them? There are all of these questions that really give us the shape of the whole season. il y a plus d’un an

@cahe64, I agree. I've thought that maybe if Elena and Stefan are estranged, one of the reasons could be because they simply remind each other too much of Damon, and therefore, avoiding each other is their way of dealing with the loss of Damon. il y a plus d’un an
