Damon stepped into the lit and crawled towards Elena who was still asleep. He waved a blood bag in front of her nose, knowing the scent would wake her up. And indeed, a few secondes later Elena opened her eyes and snatched the bag out of Damon’s hands. Without thinking she pulled the stopper and drank the blood.
After a minute ou so she stopped drinking and looked at the empty bag in horror. She threw it against the mur and as it dropped on the floor four messy lines of blood were painted on the wall.
“Get that away from me” she a dit upset and shaking.
“Elena, toi had to feed. toi were starving, I know toi were” Damon tried to explain.
Elena walked out of bed, pacing up and down the room. “I can’t do this. I can’t be a vampire. I’m just a high school girl who’s probably never going to graduate” she ranted breathless. “Oh my God, Jeremy” she suddenly realized. She hadn’t seen her brother since she turned. Why hadn’t he come and see her? Was he afraid of her?
“Jeremy’s fine” Damon a dit reassuring. “And don’t worry about how he’s going to react. Stefan talked to him”
Little veins appeared around Elena’s eyes and her eyes turned red. “Stefan needs to stay the hell away from Jeremy!” she snarled furious. She gathered some clothes. “I’m going to waste all the hot water in hopes of getting my head cleared. And no, toi can’t rejoindre me” she added when she saw Damon’s expectant expression. She turned her back on him and walked to the bathroom. Something in her behavior made him doubt she really swallowed that Stefan supposedly turned her. Elena wasn’t stupid. She would figure it out.
“Hey, toi know, toi really shouldn’t be so hard on Stefan” Damon tried to appeal for his younger brother. “He never meant to hurt you. He saved your life. If toi want to be angry with someone, be angry with me. I basically planted the thought in his head”
When he received no response he walked to the bathroom. “I’m coming in, Elena. Don’t be prudish” he warned as he turned the knob around. The water in the douche was running, but Elena was nowhere to be found. The window was left open.
