I admire her imagination and writing ability. (Which is what matters most, when considering Twilight is a book)
Not so much her personal decisions.

There's nothing I admire about her, as I don't personally see talent in her writing, and am not generally pleased with the message of her books or the small slices of her personal behaviour I've been aware of. Despite this, I should say I don't dislike her on a personal level, as some antis seem to and some fans seem to assume all antis do. I disapprove of her books' messages and some of her actions, but have nothing personal against her.

Also, though the books have never shown me anything I approve of, she has made a lot of young people interested in writing, which is at least a good thing. Yeah, so maybe a lot of what they'll want to write will be generic Twilight copies, but chances are in a mass of Twilightesque fad writing, some of her fans will discover a genuine passion through looking up to her.

I admire her a little because now I feel like my book can get published. But other than that, I hate her.

I've heard a lot of hate here in the comments but nothing specific as to why anyone does hate her.

I have always thought that it was really unprofessional of her to cancel writing Midnight Sun. Yeah it was leaked, but she has millions of fans. She disappointed all of her fans. I would be crushed if J.K. Rowling stopped writing because some of her book was leaked out on the internet, so I can imagine what the Twilight fans must feel. She also has her brother control her website so he can delete people who leave slightly rude comments. At least I know where Bella's character came from.

JK Rowling showed us that junor books can be over 200 pages. S.Meyer should us why some of them shouldn't be over a sentence long.

Normally, I have a level of respect for anyone that has written a book, because it's hard and requires devotion. I used to have that respect for her, even though I strongly dislike her writing. But S. Meyer has done and said things that really ruined it.
