Number 1: Someone tells toi ou he admits that he has hit women in the past. He has talked about his killing sprees, he has killed another woman (Yes, she is a vampire. Who cares?) in front of her. Check!

Number 2: He refers to all women he has dated in the past with derogatory terms. He may also refer to his mother using such terms as well. Not sure about checking this one ou not. He says she is the first one he dated, but then he talks of Tanya,...

Hi there! This is my first article on the C.A.T spot, about my least favori character in twilight. Actually, my least favori character in history.

Bella Swan.

I seriously can't see why so many twilight fans like her. She is a dit to be selfless, caring, understanding, and a good role model...when really she's the most selfish character in the whole book series.
Now then, here are several reasons why I dislike Bella.

1) Lack outside of Edward

Has Bella -even once- mentioned in any of the novels what she wanst to do with her life? (Besides wanting to be a vampire to be with Edward forever) Not...

For people who were expecting this article to be earlier, really sorry about that! But I've been getting ready for school(WAH!), so...you get the point.

So, this article(as toi can obviously see from the title) is about Stephanie Meyer. Oh yes, I'm pretty sure you've heard of her. The auteur of the Twilight Saga and the Host, she's pretty much one of the most populaire writers at this point. Why?
I really don't know.
The liste of reasons

1)Her writing
Okay, even back when I was a mega fan of twilight(bows head in shame), I never liked the writing. Its just..not good. Hard to explain really. Now reading...

Analyzing the Twilight Phenomena

First off, I’d like to mention that I am not a psychologist. Everything toi read is just my own analyzing and since I am interested in Psychology and Behaviorism I decided to make an article of what I think is the basic reason for Twilight’s enormous popularity. I hope toi will enjoy it.

Recently I came across a post at the forums that a dit about Twilight: ” [it’s] a bit childish to say its a failure, because if it is, then why do so many people (And not just crazy teenage girls either) l’amour Twilight huh?”.

I have seen this argument countless of times...

{edited, added some stuff, just an informal consideration of a few of the arguments that support the accusation}

"Bella cygne is a sociopath."

It’s an extreme statement, to be sure. However, it’s not one to be dismissed offhand, without consideration towards its arguments.

First, here are a couple definitions of the term sociopath.
-Random House Dictionary:
a person, as a psychopathic personality, whose behavior is antisocial and who lacks a sense of moral responsibility ou social conscience.
-American Heritage Dictionary of Cultural Literacy:
Someone whose social behavior is extremely abnormal....

So I was originally going to publier this article in the livres to Read spot, but then found this place, and I think it fits in here much better :) Anywho, this is an opinion article I originally wrote for my school newspaper. Yes, it's a bit of a rant, but I don't mean to be offensive, so please don't take it that way. Enjoy :)

--------------------------

There’s no way toi haven’t heard of it. From the first publishing of that first book to the most récent perfume-bottle scandal, Twilight has permeated the very core of pop culture, not to mention high school conversation. No matter whether...

OK, this is my very first article - I have never written an article for fanpop before. It's a poor excuse if this turns out to be the poorest article ever submitted, but I'm going to use it anyway... please go easy on me xD. This is LONG, so ours with me, I appreciate it!

I have been wondering for some time now about Bella's vulnerability, state of mind, and global, ensemble mental well-being. New Moon, in the beginning, was my favourite book of the series, for two reasons: Jacob Black was instantly likeable and interesting, winning the titre of my favourite character, but also the black hole that Bella...

I don't like Twilight. I find the characters shallow; the plot boring and cliche; and the hidden messages frightening. But in the hands of another auteur - someone who wouldn't let their religious upbringing, their misogynistic views, and their twisted romantic ideals colour the story - it could have been really fantastic.

First off, the grammar would have to be fixed. The purple prose minimised and the global, ensemble écriture polished up.

Next the characters would have to be made realistic, their actions have an effect on the plot, and their history an effect on them.

Take Rosalie, for example. If Rosalie's...

I would like to note that anne riz wrote the entire series before Meyer in case any idea's that anne a volé, étole it from stephanie __________________________________________________

1. The character louis thinks he deserves to be in hell....hmmmm sound familar to another vampire?Edward perhaps

2.Animal Blood can be drank par vampires but they prefer human blood in Interview with a Vampire AND Twilight soon followed this way

3. The vampires skin dazzles humans apparently....Which is a lot like the sparkling skin that the cullens posess

4. There are immortal children in both of the books. The unnamed children...

I am totally ignoring Breaking Dawn in this because Stephenie Meyer broke all the rules in there. [Vampires cant have children, they have no body fluids, etc etc]
Reasons i think Jacob is better for Bella than Edward is:
1. Edward/Bellas relationship is based on appearance. She is constantly talking about how good he looks, how velvety his voice is, how graceful he is, etc. She a dit Jacob was beautiful once ou twice and called his new muscles impressive once ou that she is jealous of his tan skin. She thinks Edward is too good for her because she looks plain suivant to him. She thinks Jacob is too...

Preface:
I have read all livres and seen the movies.
Most importantly, the fact that it’s fantaisie doesn’t excuse the themes and messages in the book. Fiction is merely a vehicle humans developed to communicate important lessons, values and philosophies. I am not claiming any of the implications I discuss were intentional on SMeyer’s part. Whether ou not the auteur ou readers are aware of it, though, the Twilight series communicates dangerous messages about what is acceptable ou admirable ou desirable.
Also, I highly recommend link. It’s long, but fascinating and deeper than the livres themselves....

I'm just sayin' Bella is one of the worst role mannequins ever when it comes to love, sex and life choices and should not have allowed to be published in any shape ou form. I mean, when she's made the heroine of the story and marketted at teenage girls.

1. She's obsessively in l’amour with a control freak stalker.

Unfortunately it seems the vast majority of the Twilight fangirls are too with the very same freak.

2. She wants him so bad that she'll abandone everyone else she loves so that she could be with him. Even when it means she'll practically have to become a blood-drinking corpse.

(The movie 'Eclipse'...

1. Twilight is the product of an immature writer. It reads like something out of my notebook from freshman year.
2. The only difference between Twilight and fanfiction.net is marginally better grammar.
3. And even that isn’t so great sometimes. English major fail.
4. I’ve read fanfiction that is lightyears better than Twitripe.
5. The prose is purple amethyst! Deep, luscious, dazzling amethyst that scintillates and glitters incandescently in the sun!
6. Not to mention, it’s also insanely repetitive.
7. THESAURUS ABUSE! Fancy words are not necessarily better words.
8. The storyline is trite and...

This article is not meant to offend. It is mostly comedy and uses examples from plus fandoms then just Twilight. There will also be examples that tak lyke dis and capslock. So be careful when reading.

I'm sure we are all familiar with a fangirl. (Or fanboy, but they are different and we will not be discussing them today.) Put simply, fangirls are very, very, VERY big fans of something. Twilight fangirls are obsessed with Twilight and will probably have as much Twilight merchandise as possible. A Bangel fangirl may eat toi in your sleep if toi are a hardcore Spuffy shipper, and a fanpop fangirl...

Q: What to Edward and a Christmas arbre have in common?
A: Their balls are for decoration.

Bella: You're pale white and ice cold...I know what toi are.
Edward: Say it. Say it!
Bella: Vanilla Ice Cream!

Edward: Bella...
Bella: Yes?
Edward: I just want to know how much toi mean to me.
Bella: Aaw...
Edward: toi know, what with me being an ancient VIRGIN vampire and everything...
Bella: Yeah?
Edward: Well, people were starting to think I was, y'know-
Bella: Gay?
Edward: ...
Edward: Old fashioned.
Bella: ...
Bella: Oh.

Q: How do toi kill a brain?
A: Put it in the same room with Ms Meyer and her livres and wait for two minutes.

Q: What did bella say when the shops ran low off the glitter?
A: yeeew!!! Edward toi suck!!!!

I was brought with my mam and sister to new moon on the 20th of November. Personally i was'nt really bothered about going ou not so i went so at least i would be able to say what i think about it.
The movie started at 7 and and at 6:20 there was at least 60 people waiting in the cinema most of them girls from the ages of about 10 to 55 many people at the back of the line were pushing to the front without mercy, squishing the others.

OK, I know toi guys are thinking: "What?! How dare you! Bella and Edward's l’amour is the best and most romantic l’amour of all times!111Elevntyone!!!1" And then, you're going to say I'm just some guy who hasn't read the books. I'm not. I'm a teenage girl, and I have read all the books. Even Bree Tanner and that bit of Midnight Sun on Meyer's website.

I'll just discuss the reasons why it's not true love.

1. In Twilight, the "romance" as they call it is just there from the beginning. In Percy Jackson and the Olympians (We'll call it PJO), the Percy-Annabeth relationship was apparent from the start, but built up until the Kiss in Battle of The Labryrinth and eventually their relationship began in The Last Olympian.
2. In Battle Of The Labryrinth, Percy ran into Greek mythology's equivilent to vampires: the empousai. These were ugly creatures who had flaming hair, one goat leg, one metal leg, fangs, were deadly poisonous, and usually disguised themselves as mean cheerleaders. In Twilight, the...
