I have two heroines on this liste that are from a TV show, so I hope that's okay. Let's get on with the list!

10. Tziporah

Even though she's a side character, she has to be the most impressionable character in the whole film. Her capture scene was my favorite, because it's like she's the only sane one in the room, like capture her then toi want respect? Um, no, I absolutely l’amour the line "I am montrer toi all the respect toi deserve. None!" then she actually fights her way out, she's non compliant to any absurdity and can get her way out of any tough situation. I also especially like when she sees Moses again and simply plops him in the water like he did to her instead of getting super angry with him (like I know I would). She acknowledges that people can change and accepts the Prince of Egypt, her captor, to embrace her own culture. She's just a really cool character, even when Moses is babbling about some impossible journey to free the slaves of Egypt she's just thinks if her boo thinks he can, she's going to stick with him until the end. I can just really appreciate well-done and believable side characters such as herself

I thought with the many claims of lack of representation in children's films as a PoC I should take it upon myself to bring some underrated films of different cultures to light. Granted not all of these are necessarily children's films, but they are all animated and I personally think every kid should see them.

I have each ethnicity I could think of and animated films where that ethnicity is well-represented. I want to build on this so if toi don't see your ethnicity here please tell me, I want as many films as I can get with as many different walks-of-life! These depictions are supposed to be respectful.

Note: These are animated feature films that represent the ethnicity, It does not take into account where the films were made, but instead which ethnicity is the one being represented on screen. So for Example, a French made movie whose main cast is Arabic will be in the Arabic section and not the French, the on-screen people is what matters not the nation it was created in.

Hi, everyone! My name is Alexandra and I am very interested in fashion. Today I want to tell toi about fashion preferences.

This is my TOP-10 favori CAMH outits. This haut, retour au début isn't objective and I don't mean that other dresses are bad. I'll be very short for them but I'm not much of écriture ou storyteller.

10. Megara's dress.
I really like this dress, both its color and shape.

9. Jasmine's purple engagement oufit.
Another very beautiful purple outfit.

8. Jasmine's red outfit.
I'm not a fan of ethnic clothing( this is also a reason I didn't include Anastasia's yellow ballroom gown), I prefer classic style but the gorgeous color of clothing and the shape of bracelet makes me l’amour it.

7. Belle's rose outfit.[
I am indifferent to dress itself but this maroon cloak( my favori color). And I l’amour this white fourrure and I l’amour how it frames Belle's face.

6.Tiana's white dress.

Introverted Feeling (Fi): Sally is independent, and guided par an internal set of values that lead her to oppose the idea of adopting Christmas in Halloweentown, even though the man she loves is doing it, along with the whole town. She doesn’t present a rational argument as to why he shouldn’t do it, but rather is against it because it just feels wrong to her, though she doesn’t impose her opinion on others. She doesn’t like the lifestyle Dr. Finkelstein has forced on her, but she still cares for him, and rebels quietly when she can’t take any more. Sally has trouble telling Jack she likes him, instead montrer her affection through acts (bringing him dîner and wine when he forgets to eat, helping to make his costume, going to save Sandy). She has a deep bond with Jack, even though she thinks he only sees her as a friend, and would do anything for him.

Extroverted Sensing (Se): Sally is somewhat impatient, and is bored being locked up all the time. She would rather be doing something, and be out with others in town and with Jack. She has a reckless...

Magic Mirror on the wall, what are my favorite and least favorite animated movies of them all?
This is like the third ou so time that I've made an article about what I consider to be the WORST animated films of ALL TIME, but this is the first time I've done it about my favori animated movies. I've been meaning to make one about my favori animated films for a while now and I've FINALLY gotten around to it! So I thought I'd combine both lists into one article in order to kill two birds with one stone. Plus I think it's kind of fun to start out with negativity and end it on positivity. Keep in mind that this is just my personal opinion, so don't be rude. Please commentaire telling me what toi think, but again, be polite about it. Enjoy!

The WORST Animated Movies

10.Eight Crazy Nights

toi know that toi can't have a worst films liste without having at least one Adam Sandler movie, though it's rare to think of an animated movie par Sandler. Thankfully, the Hotel Transylvania films are good animated movies. This movie has all the problems that Sandler's bad films (Which is almost all of his movies) have: horrible humor, a generic story, an unlikable protagonist, some good morals that are...

So I've been lately into classic mythology and literature all of a sudden and I thought it'd be a good idea to see populaire characters from animated films matched up to characters from greek mythology.

Obviously i won't be using any characters from Hercules, since that would be easy, and it's plus fun to see comparisons with different things. I wanted to make it balanced and add also non-Disney, but it was a little difficult. I hope this match up is good, and tell me if toi have some suggestions for some characters i didn't choose ou matches toi think fit better.

Sooo, let's get started.

1) Zeus- King Fergus (Brave)

The leader of the gods with the charismatic king from Brave. it wasn't that hard to find a good match up since Zeus stands out as this boisterous party loving king, similar to how Fergus isn't as strict as other animated kings/fathers. Of course, he's quite loyal to his beloved Elinor, unlike Zeus with Hera, but they share some similarities as being kings who prefer partying over work and can spoil some of their children.

Out of the three options for article ideas, this was the haut, retour au début choice par a landslide. I've actually been thinking of écriture about this for a long time, but the rankings were always a blur until now. I was originally going to make a haut, retour au début 15 until an error happened and I had to start all over again :( Also fanpop is pretty much dead right now, so I'll write the other articles when it's plus active :/

Honorable Mentions: Part of Your World (The Little Mermaid), Stand Out (A Goofy Movie), Can toi Feel the l’amour Tonight (The Lion King), The Last Unicorn (''), Jack's Lament (The Nightmare Before Christmas), A Whole New World (Aladdin)

10) Reflection - Mulan

Yeah, I've always been obsessed with this song. It's so pretty. I just l’amour Lea Salonga's voice is the traditional Chinese sounds.

9) Welcome to the montrer - MLP Equestria Girls: Battle of the Bands

Say what toi want about MLP, but the Dazzlings get the best parts. They harmonize greatly together and they sound like sirens, which is what they are....

I've decided to put whether I actually liked the films aside to spotlight some films who have ladies as main protagonists (not secondary) so this liste is not in any particular order. I am excluding Disney and Pixar since toi probably have seen a majority of them. Sadly I am not mentioning Ghibli films because they are a company where about 90% of their films are led to girls so all I have to do is tell toi to pick up almost any one of their films to get some leading ladies. I will also mention the Barbie films because ALL of them have female leads.
Note these are films I have actually watched so if toi wanna give a shout out to another movie in the commentaires feel free because it's always great to have plus ladies in our animated movies.

films you've definitely heard about because they get mentioned plenty here on fanpop

Anastasia

Anastasia is an orphan has been her whole life as far as she knows and after leaving the orphanage she decides to go to Paris since its the only clue on hand she has to her past. There she meets con man Dimitri who convinces her she's the...

I like animated movies... a lot. And whenever looking my favori films EVER they do happen to pop up a lot. But sometimes it's hard to remember that the world of animation isn't dominated par Disney and it's nice to remember films I enjoyed that didn't have a big name behind them so here I am to share some animated films I l’amour that are not connected to the biggest names in animation namely Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks and Studio Ghibli. also I am going to avoid films that toi had to see a TV montrer ou animé to fully appreciate it so alas I must say sorry to "Kim Possible a stich in time" and "Gintama the seconde movie" (while they weren't in my haut, retour au début 20 I am sorry that those films won't be getting any attention at all in this article.)

{Number 20} Pilgrim's progress 1978

Did anyone else watch like old VHS dessins animés over and over as kids? because I did and on one of the tapes was the Pilgrim's progress in Spanish and in English back to back. and I loved it. The artstyle, which dates it pretty well, still appeals to me, I find the songs soothing, Faithful was one of my first crushes and also the...

While I've never been one to spend hours thinking about who is the most beautiful character ever, I do admit I have my favoris in terms of beauty. I might have done this list, but I'd prefer to do it now again now that I've got my favoris cleared out. I add things like likability and personality aside from physical beauty in terms of how beautiful I find the character.

Most of these choices are in between conventional and unconventional, but it's mostly into what I personally find attractive. Remember that this liste is subjective and it's all my opinion, so don't get mad if your faves aren't here.

First Category- Children
While I wasn't thinking of adding kids, I thought I could always still mention some whom I think have a very pretty design. Thankfully, they weren't many, for I wanted to focus on adult women and most animated girls i find just to be plainly cute.

The winners here are Shanti (from The Jungle Book) and Princess Eilonwy (from The Black Cauldron).

I'm still making a video (so toi can see the poise and grace in action!), I'm just making an article just in case my video gets blocked because Youtube is a bitch, so I'm crossing my fingers it doesn't cause problems.

I know not everyone might not agree with me, but the good thing about this, is that we all have an idea on what elegance is and I was giving points on poise, grace, appearance, class, how they act, and the impression they left on me. I needed a lot of help with this. I've asked and googled and this is what I came up with. I had a really hard time ranking the characters, so the final liste might end up being bullshit, so this is the final draft before the video (which I can fix). While I know this liste is bad, I'm happy I'm one of the first to do something like this! (It gives me creativity points which I value a lot!) Also at least I gave a good balance to both genders and used characters from different worlds. (Also I'm going to it two per franchise) toi don't know how many times I had to rewatch clips of these characters!

salut Fanpoppers, I am doing a review on a movie I was écriture that was expected to be released on TAY (Talk Among Yourselves) very soon. I have an excerpt from the intro of the review; it’s a very interesting yet dark fact-filled story of the making and behind the scenes drama behind Warner Bros’ obscure Non-Disney Film/Disney Knockoff, Quest for Calmelot.

When Warner Bros. Feature animation was founded in ’94, they have planned to make two projects to release for theaters, with the Live-Action/Animated Hybrid Film l’espace confiture planned for the November 1996 release and the film adaption of the 2nd novel in Vera Chapman’s Three Damsels trilogy, The King’s Demosel (Aka, The King Damsel for grammar correction.) titled The Quest for The Grail for the 1997 release.

The film was going to be directed par the Husband-and-Wife team behind Ferngully: The Last Rainforest Bill and Susan Kroyer and planned to be darker and faithful to the story of Vera Chapman’s book, pitched as “The Braveheart of animated features with fighting and blood, etc.”

nvm that this has mostly superheroes. i couldn't find a good one of male heroes
The suivant part of this amazing series where we discover the world of my interests and favori characters.

So, last time we talked about the ladies, now it's time to talk about the gentlemen. I'll admit that this was a harder liste to make, because I do have a mental liste for the ladies, with the men it's very uneven and unsorted. So I had to think a lot to get this liste going, but I think in the end I managed to get something that works.

Well, let's get started.

15) Tack (The Thief and the Cobbler)

He's such a cutie! He barely makes the liste but I could talk a lot about him. I l’amour that he's the opposite of Aladdin, while Aladin is outspoken and jumps right at danger Tack is plus quiet and cautious. I like his story, of the underdog who manages to rise on top, and I think the story works well with him plus than other characters because he's actually quite humble and doesn't brag about himself.
It's actually much plus satisfying seeing him get up from the ashes and save the day, since he spent all the other time in the shadows, not wanting to be noticed.

I think I did this liste a long time ago, when I first joined Fanpop, but since then my opinion on things has slightly differed. Some female characters have stayed on their permanent spot, while others have been dropped off the line. Some new have been added.

What is consistent in this list, though, is that in general i l’amour female characters, especially the animated ones. When well written, I often find them to be very interesting and appealing characters (that may be due to me being a woman, but I don't want to follow cliched gendered stereotypes).

This liste may go into personal territories at times, so I warn toi beforehand of this If toi see me starting to speak about off-topic matters. But these female characters also in a way remind me of aspects of my personal life and passions so I think it's reasonable for me to speak about it.

It's based on this vote of mine:

Damn, making my haut, retour au début 10 animated films was harder than I thought! I have a feeling that I left out some, and there are some I would like to include but it's been a while that I haven't seen them, so the plus appropriate way to describe this liste is a rough draft of my favori animated films xD It's just really hard to make a favoris liste and give proper explanations. There many animated films that I love, but there only a couple that have stolen my cœur, coeur 💜

10) The Nightmare Before Christmas

Starting this liste is my favori Christmas (or Halloween) movie! I'm not a fan of stop motion animation, but this movie is brilliant and has an excellent soundtrack. I l’amour how it has an unconventional style and setting. The main characters and movie are still great! I can't help, but feel bad for Jack when Christmas ended up being a nightmare. I wish I could elaborate plus on why The Nightmare Before Christmas is so great because it's seriously a great movie! I actually haven't seen this movie until I was a bit older, but it gives me feels!

Much like my récent Pocahontas vs Anastasia article, I'm continuing my films vs films article with Sleeping Beaty vs The cygne Princess. A little background is that both films are based off plays par Tchaikovsky, Sleeping Beauty and cygne Lake. Although Sleeping Beauty is also based-off the original fairy-tale par Charles Perrault and a little bit off the story of Briar Rose par the Brothers Grim. Unfortunately, for both the Charles Perrault Sleeping Beauty and the original play of cygne Lake, it ends in tragedy. Sleeping Beauty didn't wake up from her deep sleep from true love's kiss, it was from being raped. cygne Lake ended with Odette committing suicide after seeing Prince Seigfried make his vow of ever lasting l’amour to the fake Odette (Rothbart's daughter, Odile). Later Siegfried finds out and kills himself because if they couldn't be together in life, they would be together in death. However, over the years in écriture and film media, especially The cygne Princess and Disney's Sleeping Beauty, those endings have been modified to satisfy the audiences and give the characters happy endings.

Much like my old article where I compared Ariel and Merida, I decided to continue it after quite a few years. But this time it's me comparing films that are similar, though not something I'm planning on making a habit of. So far, I'm just going to be doing Pocahontas vs Anastasia and Sleeping Beauty vs The cygne Princess. We'll see where it goes from there. We'll be starting with, par populaire demand, Pocahontas vs Anastasia. First of all, I'm not going to bring up the historical inaccuracy of the two films because that's just really pointless. They're not meant to be educational, they're meant to be entertaining, which they definitely are. Besides, it's not like they're awful films like the animated Titanic movies, which makes it harder to ignore the historical inaccuracies. Anastasia and Pocahontas have a lot plus creativity to them that makes it VERY EASY to ignore the historical inaccuracies. Plus if anyone thinks an animated movie is supposed to be historically accurate and educate people, they must be really stupid if they're depending on an animated movie to educate people. These films are meant for entertainment, keep the historical inaccuracies out of your minds because...

10. Nightcrawler

To be honest, 10th place could have been anyone. It was so hard for me to decide but here's the trouble maker, Nightcrawler. Come on, ''chicks dig the fuzzy dude!'' and teleportation is the most useful superpower ever. He was raised par Germans but biologically he's Mystique's son and Rogue's brother.

9. Thomas

Thomas is not one of those characters I feel forced to feel bad for. No I genuinely feel sympathy for him because he's not self-pitying. And that's the thing, I genuinely like him, his character feels very organic to me. He keeps messing up but the movie doesn't go all ''Will toi just look at that tortured soul!'' Also, he's voiced par Christian Bale!!!

*Honorable mentions*

* Princess Kida (Atlantis: The Lost Empire)

It is truly bogus that even though she is technically a princess, Kida isn't marketed as such just because her movie didn't do well. Her ties to royalty are plus real than, say, Mulan's are. Anyway... this woman is so badass. Physically, Kida can hold her own against anybody who tries to take her on ou who poses a threat to her people. She's speaks a ton of languages, she's compassionate, she doesn't take crap from anybody, and she and Milo are equals in their relationship – he rescues her, but then it's her turn to save him – and her entire civilization – from being exterminated. What a boss.

* Nausicaa (Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind)

Disney and Dreamworks usually fill up lists like this, so I wanted to add my favori “outsider,” Nausicaa, who is a Miyazaki heroine. This girl... she's got guts, first and foremost. She fearlessly walks into a toxic wasteland with just her wits to guide her. And she really is smart – and not in the informed,...

So, inspired par audreybrooke's article about which House would be plus suitable for each Disney Princess (you can find the article in the DP spot), I decided to do the same for other heroines!

Oh and sorry for not putting Harry Potter related pictures to all the heroines, I was just too bored to éditer them ou even add a proper background that reminds us of a particular House (yellow for Hufflepuff for example, ou red and or for Gryffindor).

Esmeralda
Gryffindor

She's definitely a Gryffindor! Esmeralda is very fiery, passionate, brave, to the point of being reckless, and a fighter. She's not afraid of speaking her mind and she is willing to get into trouble in order to defend her friends. She can act without thinking of the consequences (like for example in the Festival of Fools where she stood to Frollo and she actually dared to mock him in front of all these people). She also appears very confident, playful and kinda cocky, especially during her dance in the Festival of Fools.

I hope this is okay, call me out if it isn't, but I will be posting some articles from the DP club I posté onto this spot.

My opinions on Rapunzel have changed a lot. When I joined Fanpop, she was seconde on my list. Eventually she moved up to first. After that, she made a bunch of drops, until she eventually reached the eleventh spot on my list. So I've gone from loving her to death to disliking her. Oh, well. I might as well explain why I dislike her then.

I dislike Rapunzel mostly because she's an overdone character and I feel like she's shoved onto me a lot as a character. You're supposed to see her as this amazing character who is easily relatable because of how she has many hobbies, and well rounded, and (apparently) funny and such. Well, that's why I feel there's this irritating, "pressure" to like her. She's an overdone character. She has.. Everything. There's at least one thing she does that toi can probably relate to.

10. Roxanne
It really bothers me how Roxanne doesn't make an appearance in the sequel, not even a mention UGH let's never take into account Disney sequels. Anyway, I can't pinpoint down the reasons as to why I l’amour Roxanne. I just l’amour her personality I guess; she's kind, forgiving and understanding.

9. Anastasia
This placement may have to do with my bias for feisty and spunky heroines but I remember the times when I needed to watch Anastasia everyday to get through life so it feels right having her here lol. The movie just has something special about it so the main protagonist is somewhat a part of me now. I also l’amour how Anya doubts herself trying to find her family and where she belongs, ''life is full of choices but no one ever mentions fear''.

8. Esmeralda
Even though Esmeralda has it rough, she still thinks about the ones less fortunate than her. I think the world revolves around me at times, asking for wealth and glory to shine on my name. So I admire her so much for praying for the outcasts and for standing up for...

Earlier this week an idea randomly popped into my head that I should make an article on characters with the prettiest eyes and here it is! It's made up of different eyes and unlike my beautiful eyes liste with famous people that mostly has guys, this liste mostly has has ladies. (Probably because they use many different shapes for women).

10) pomme Bloom

I was thinking about putting pomme Bloom as a usual pony, but I thought it would only be fair to use humans and she IS human in the movies. Ha! Anyway I l’amour pomme Bloom's eyes because not only are they orange which is a cool and unusual color (I l’amour unusual couleurs btw), but they also remind me of an ombre sunset which is amazing! Seriously two tone eyes!

9) Cinderella

I personally think that the classic Disney era had some of the best eyes because the female characters had proportional eyes then. I think Cinderella's icy blue color is really cool and amande eyes are my favori eye shape. In the DP franchise she is shown with smaller eyes compared to the other princesses which makes me l’amour them even more.

I guess he's not a fan of ballets or 1980's animes.
Ever since Doug Walker did his review of The cygne Princess, I've noticed plus and plus people around the internet accuse this movie of being "Disney-lite," "a Disney knock-off," etc.

Problem is, the reasons they give are either something that almost EVERY animated movie has done since Snow White (singing, princesses, animal companions, etc) ou it was already in the original fairy tale-inspired ballet written and composed par Tchaikovsky decades before Disney ever got into animation.

Quick Backstory: The cygne Princess is based on the ballet link, again, written and composed par Tchaikovsky. And it's a very faithful adaptation too. I've read plot summaries and watched the ballet proper, and The cygne Princess actually doesn't change too much plot-wise.

The only real changes they made are that Odette and Prince Siegfried (renamed Derek) grew up knowing each other, were arranged to marry, then broke up right before Odette got kidnapped and Il était une fois par the sorcerer Von Rothbart (just plain "Rothbart" in the movie). In the original ballet, the prince and princess meet for the first time...

5. Son of Man - Tarzan
I'm actually not a huge Phil Collins fan tbh but this song is really great and is able to put me in a good mood. One of my favori things is the zero to hero segment and that's what Son of Man projects incredibly well.

4. Journey to the Past - Anastasia
Yes, I l’amour Journey to the Past plus than Once Upon a December. This song is about Anya trying to find her family. plus in depth, she has dreamt about finding out who she is and where she belongs but has doubts about following her insticts. I l’amour how this song has a sweet tone to it that is a bit serious at the same time.

3. If We Hold on Together - The Land Before Time
A song about keeping dreams alive, it's really beautiful and makes me emotional. My mom used to sing If We Hold on Together to me all the time when I was a kid so nostalgia does play its part in me loving this song, it will always hold a special place in my heart.
