has evoked a multitude of different reactions from audiences. Some hated it, some loved it, some want a director\'s cut, and some think the DCEU should just find a comfy corner in which to die quietly. And let\'s not forget the rumors like the one that claims Joss Whedon was booted from writing and directing a
standalone movie for Warner Brothers in a quiet fashion so as to avoid a PR nightmare. The reasons for this unceremoious sacking would be that Whedon\'s reshoots on
couldn\'t save the movie or the fact that he was apparently liking tweets bad-mouthing the movie\'s villain. Then there\'s the issue of him being accused of mistreatment of women by his ex-wife.
is wholly untrue. This comes from sources close to the project, and they say that Whedon\'s still writing and directing the script. Whedon is often credited (the aforementioned accusation notwithstanding) with creating empowered female characters in his projects, like Buffy Summers, Willow Rosenberg, Zoë Washburne, and River Tam in

The character\'s been played by a number of different actresses over the years, like Yvonne Craig, Alicia Silverstone, Tara Strong, and Rosario Dawson. Reports on Whedon\'s movie differ over the plot, with some saying it will focus on her \'67 debut in
while others purport the New 52 version of the character by Gail Simone to be its focus.
