This is a really good poll question now anime has a LOT of sexual scenes at most parts and cartoon like Family guy, American Dad, ect. Have some sexual scenes but I got to say Anime has more Ecchi scenes which all of you guys can agree that anime has some parts of sexual scenes. ^_^

Thank you. Personally, I think they are totally different & I have always felt that way, even when younger. I was always very freaked out & grossed out by cartoon stuff and I am the opposite about anime. One is usually meant to be funny or more on the humourous side, even if cheeky or tongue in cheek or sarcastic and it is often not appealing people or "attractive" - it just disturbed me -as if the whole thing could have been left out & better if it was. Anime can be funny in those scenes but to be the humour is sooo different and I really fell in love with the facial expressions, the blushing, the whole intensity of well depicted, exaggerated human emotions, and yet it can be VERY sexy to me as well and very well done. I think it is sexy, the other I do not. I am not turned on by adult movie "porn" or anyting I find lacking qualities that build interest or lack creativity, anime... all genres, I like, and it will THEN just depend on the anime.

They are not the same. Anime sex tends to be more inappropriate then Cartoon sex. Some of the anime characters actually are seen naked in some scenes. I don't like that. I freak out at sex scenes.

@Sinna and @Riley I'm going to have to agree on you guys yes that is very true Anime tends to have a lot of sex and sexually attractions to viewers and which is funny but cartoon can be weird lol XD.

They are quite different, as it happens. For one, sexual scenes in cartoons are often downplayed and always seem to be made as appropriate as possible. Not that that is surprising in any way, whatsoever. Cartoons are mostly directed at younger audiences, after all. Also, I've noticed that sexual scenes in cartoons can be very awkward.
As far as anime goes, I think we can all agree that they are much different anime. For one thing, the sexual content is not really awkward at all, unless the anime makes it so, plus, I think most anime fans have noticed the fan-service in anime, which is often a form a sexual content. Plus, then we also have extremities in some yaoi and yuri, as well as having hentai and ecchi.

So, yeah, I do believe they are very different.

There's an amount of goofiness in cartoon sex that is dramatically separated from anime sex. The former is laden with a lot of winks and nudges, and really can be understood differently by an array of audiences of different age groups. With some exceptions, it's not very in your face, and it tends to dance around the issue, which is part of the comedy. Anime tends to take it to a more realistic level, and be much more direct about it. There can be some goofiness involved sometimes, but this is more often meant to move along romantic relationships or create tension.

I hope this is an acceptable poll. I thought it would be a good topic for people's views and I tried to find appropriate pictures that did not show things or only alluded to the point >////< eeeeee. People have very different views on some of this -why I made it, thought it would be interesting~ which is quite alright, indeed, like we know & Riley said in the article he made, as long as people have respect for others. I did try to make this poll accepable & I hope I succeeded (???)
