Chapter 12
It was night. The group had been walking for a fairly long time.It was time to rest. However... Seth and Destiny had some other affairs to do. "Alright Seth." Destiny a dit walking par her friend, laying with his head tucked in his paws. "Get up. We're training like toi wanted." Seth nodded and got up slowly. He stretched, extending his two front paws. "Great. Where are we training..." Seth asked. Destiny thought for a moment before answering. "Well, I don't know yet... We'll find a place..." Destiny a dit walking off. Seth just stood there. Watching Destiny's silver tail dance about in the dark. Was... was this love? Already? Whoa whoa... Hold it together Seth... He thought. “Well come on!” Destiny urged, smiling. Seth laughed to himself and ran after her.

Kate opened her eyes. She looked beside her. Michael was sleeping soundly with her. He was curled around her body, lovingly. It isn’t all bad I guess… Kate thought to her self once again. Michael loved her… So it wasn’t like he would mistreat her. She looked around the encampment. Liam… Saphire… Everyone was there. Except Destiny and Seth. Where could they be? Kate thought. She felt a twang of jealousy. No! No! No! He’s a Delta! A voice in Kate’s head exclaimed. The jealousy in Kate’s stomach lessened. Then another thought came to mind. Just a Delta that saved your life and toi fell in l’amour with… The jealousy returned. Kate couldn’t go on like this. She couldn’t. She shook her head and thought of a way to ignore the feeling. She rested her head and paws on Michael’s side. He stirred in surprise but smiled. She felt his warmth. She nuzzled her nose in his white fur. Listened to his heartbeat. It just wasn’t the same.

“haha!” Destiny giggled. Seth was soaked. That’s what he got for following Destiny too far. She lead him right into the lake but at the last moment, she backed off. Seth shook his head. He then shook his entire body, taking all the water off, being careful not to expose his scarred eye. “Aw… Come on… Where’s your sense of fun?” Destiny announced, making a playful play bow with her rear in the air. “I don’t know! Do I even have one?” Seth asked playfully. He leapt onto Destiny and tackled her. They rolled down a grassy hill. They play wrestled. After a minute, Seth pinned her to the ground. He rested his paws on her shoulders. “Fine. toi win. Now please get off me…” Destiny laughed. “Say I rock.” Seth demanded playfully. “What!? No!” Destiny laughed defiantly, squirming, trying to lessen his grip. “Say it.” Destiny turned her nose up, in defiance. “Fine! Then there’s no escape!” Seth concluded. Destiny sighed. And laughed. “Fine. toi rock. Can I go now?” Destiny asked impatiently. “And say I’m handsome!” Seth a dit puffing up his chest. “Ugh…” Destiny giggled. Seth purposely lessened his grip on Destiny’s left arm. Destiny laughed once plus before taking her left arm and pushing Seth away par his cheek. “Now are we going to train ou not?” Destiny asked once more. Seth smiled. “Yes…” He laughed. “And uh… Sure… You’re handsome…” Destiny a dit nervously. “hmmhmm…” Seth laughed. “Thanks…” Destiny looked back and smiled.

“Like this?” Seth asked, leaping and twisting in the air like a torpedo. “Yes! That’s it!” Destiny exclaimed. She ran up to him and curled her tail upwards. “I only got it just yesterday and here toi are already mastering it!” She smiled at Seth sweetly. “I envy you.” She laughed. “I think Alpha school is going to be fun...” Seth smiled. “Well It’s not going to be un-disciplined like how I’m teaching you… ou have as much play…” Destiny explained. Seth shrugged. “Try this.” Destiny asked. She lashed out with her paw and brought it down, par it’s side vertically. “It’s used for a basic, easy and painful attack!” Destiny exclaimed. Seth imitated her. She nodded. Before she could continue, Liam stepped out from the bushes. “Hey toi two…” He a dit calmly. Seth smiled at him. Destiny nodded and sat down. “You should get some rest… Alpha school starts as soon as we get to the site and we only have a few hours walk to the encampment.” “Ok Liam…” Seth sighed. Liam looked away for a moment. “Come on…” He laughed.

Seth, Liam and Destiny reached the camp. It was about 11 at night. Liam gestured to a clear spot in the resting area. He waved and then walked away and curled up around his mate. Seth lay down. He curled up and looked up at Destiny. “I’ll see toi tomorrow…” Seth said. “Well, I’m not going far…” Destiny laughed. Seth raised one eyebrow. Destiny rolled her eyes and smiled. She curled up in Seth’s arms. “We’re Friends right?” Seth nodded, still in shock. “Then I hope toi don’t take this the wrong way...” Destiny finished. She shifted back a bit further until Seth wrapped his arms around her. She snuggled back and closed her eyes. Seth’s cœur, coeur began to race. What was the feeling he felt. Friends? No… If it was, it would be awkward to be Friends with Liam. Love? Couldn’t be… Not… Yet at least… Seth dismissed the subject. He closed his eyes and rested his head on Destiny’s grey flank.
