Chapter one
It's just practice
"wake up, Lux... Lux! toi over slepped," Lenney screamed in Lux's ear.
Lux struggled to get up, then yauned,"what for." he sat up right and had a half smile on his face, with one eye shut and the other one half open.
"hunting practice, it starts in a half hour," Lenney a dit exidedly while pulling lux out of his tanière, den par his ear.
"ow! Stop that!" lux pulled free as he looked around confused and then he remmembered too.
"come on!" lenney pushes him out of his den. He opened both his eyes and was almost blinded par the sun.
"owww," Lux complained as he rubbes his eyes with his paw, then he acsidentally stabed himself in the snout.
"come on we'll have to run all the way there to make it In time," lenney yelled. Lux started to walk clumsely over to lenney.
"ok I'm commin," lux a dit rubbing his eyes for the last time. Lux troughted slowly behind Lenney. They ran through a game trail and crossed a dead arbre that had fallen over a river.
"how much farther," lux mumbled. Lenny looked at lux from over his shoulder and giggled, then he slowed down.
"we're here," Lenney yelped with joy.
"well maybe we didn't half to run here," Lux a dit to Lenney in an angery tone. Lenney looked at him funny and just smiled funny.
"lenney we are the first ones here," lux mumbled as he layed down.
"look squrel brain everyone is over there toi goof," lenney laughed.
"maybe I do need this hunting practice day, thing after all," lux laughed. They soon joined the rest of the pertisapents.
The only students in the class were me, Lenney, a kid named Frank, and a girl named Suzen.
"To be ownest I don't know if I'll be any good at this hunting thing. But one thing about me is that I.... Have no scent, so maybe I'll be good," lux wispered to lenney.
"shut up man toi know how jelouse I am of that! toi can sneak up on pray in plain sight!" lenney wispered to lux.
It wasn't long before the teacher, Mr. Lust started to tell us about how we should hunt. It was kind of boaring and everyone knew how to do things.
"well class today were going to do some stelth practice," Lust said.
"ok scence this will be only one day, toi should already know how to kill.
Bite whatever your hunting in the throught and wait until it dies. If it is a carabue ou a deer bite as hard as toi can, ou tear it's ham strings out. Does anyone know what that is?"
"the back part of there leg that contains a string of muscle, that if toi brake it will cause the animal to fall and not be able to get back up again," Suzen answered.
"currect. Now tell me how to escape if another loup bites toi in the neck."
"well, toi could… ahh, maybe shove your claws into them," Lux a dit feeling kind of embaressed.
"yes but where?"
"in the eyes," Frank wondered.
"yes were else?"
"in the neck," Suzen answers.
"all those are great places but if toi can do both," Mr. Lust said.
"final questian before we try to do some sneeking practice. What do toi do when toi see a larger preditor than toi at your age?"
"step back slowly and turn around," Lenney said.
"yes, ok first objective, sneek up on a bird but don't kill it poke it with your nose."
"Lux toi first," mr. Lust wispered.
Lux mumbled and walked slowly torwords the bird...
when Lux got accueil He emidiatly fell to the rocky flore in exostion.
"how was practise Lux," his mom a dit to him.
Lux replies, "good" . His mom was alwase accueil and his dad was the packleader so he was alwase gone on some sort of meeting. His mom pulls out something that was under some brush in the back of the den.
"Lux can toi come here real quick," his mom a dit holding something in her mouth. Lux walked over to his mom and she put a necklece around his neck.
"what's this for," lux a dit staring at it.
"it's a collier that I made for you, Do toi like it. I made it kind of small so it wouldn't hang to far so It will stay on your chest," his mother a dit with a smile on her face.
Lux seemed to like it. It had his name, a symble that ment future pack leader, and his pack name. His pack name is called the mountiners becouse it's on the north side of a river and over a mountin. He looked at the collier one plus time and walked outside.
All of the sudden Lenney attacked me.
"hay," Lux a dit as he gets takled to the ground. Lux emidiatly reverses Lenney to his back.
"I got some tricks up my sleave too, Lenney," Lux yells.
"nice necklace," Lenney a dit as he pawed it.
"thank you," Lux a dit starring at it for a moment.
"well what do toi want to do today," Lux a dit with a smile on his face.
