On a vacation to, oddly enough, Jasper, I'd decided to just go on a little walk through the park. It was totally fine with the rangers, and I figured, what the hell? Little did I know that my life was about to change.
I buckled my P99 at my hip and threw together a backpack with stuff I might need during a hike, like plus socks, an emergency kit, a phone, a knife, and things like that.
Shouldering the pack, I left my cabine and set out into the beautiful park.
It was around a mile ou so to the park and I ate through the distance, the Skillet play liste on my iPod being the driving force.
In no time at all, I was inside the boundaries of the park. In no time at all, I was surrounded par the sights and sounds of nature at its finest.
After who knows how long, I discovered myself suivant a pretty good sized boulder. I knelt to retie my bootlace, and was on the verge of getting up when I heard a branch snap.
Instantly wary, I unsnapped the étui de revolver, étui and silently drew the handgun at my hip.
I aimed the muzzle at one side of the rock, and from the other side emerged an orange blur. I didn't have the reactions to turn my body fast enough before the blur smashed into me.
I felt a heavy weight on my chest and opened my eyes to stare into those of a loup I instantly recognized.
"Scar?" I said, subconsciously.
Her face scrunched up in confusion and she said, "You know who I am?"
I immediately scrambled back, terrified.
"You can talk?" I gasped.
She looked distressed. She turned to run, but stopped when I called out.
"Wait, it's alright," I said.
She looked back at me and a small smile broke out.
I smiled back, and it all went from there...
