My name is Evelyn Veronica Isabelle Lang. I’m 13 with black hair and grey-blue eyes. I have special powers like my mom does. She is really strong, really pretty, she can fly and she has special bracelets that deflect things. My dad has no powers, but he’s really cool. He is really smart, makes his own little gadgets and is a skilled fighter. When I was little, they disappeared. I felt like they abandoned me, so I changed my name from Veronica Wayne to Evelyn Veronica Isabelle Lang. ou Evil. I’m a rue kid now, but I’ve always held my own. I’m a really great fighter, I’m really strong like my mom, I can fly and I have magic bracelets that other rue people always try and take. I also have an extra special ability to absorb people’s powers and life energy if I touch their skin with my hand. I don’t like to use that ability though. It makes me feel bad. I always have to wear gloves because I don’t want to touch anyone. One jour when I was walking through an alley, I saw a boy go into an abandoned telephone booth. Then, I saw a bright light. When I checked inside, he was gone. Like magic. So, I decided to go in and see if I would disappear. And I did! I entered a really big cave. I saw tons of adults look at me as I wandered through. One guy with black hair and blue eyes came up to me. I got scared and I put my arms up. My long sleeves fell away, revealing my special bracelets. He tried to grab one.
“They’re mine! All I have left of my mom!” I shouted
“Will toi come with me?” he asked
“For your own good, let go” I begged
“Why?” he looked astounded
“I take your powers and life energy if I touch your skin with my hand” I explained
“Okay. Just follow me” he nodded, letting go. I followed him to a lady talking with a man.
“Mom? MOM!” I exclaimed. I ran and half flew, half jumped onto her in a huge hug. She tried to turn, but I was on her back. She grabbed my wrists and yanked me off, throwing me to the floor. I flew above her. Then she saw my bracelets.
“Veronica?” she asked. I smiled and nodded. She grabbed the guy in the dark cape and dragged him away with us.
“Bruce, it’s our daughter” she whispered. I smiled at the man brightly.
“Veronica? Is that you?” he asked. He brushed the dirt away from my face with his glove. And gasped.
“Dad, why did toi abandon me?” I asked
“We Lost toi in a storm. We searched everywhere, using every resource we could, but it was like toi disappeared off the face of the Earth” he said. His voice choked a bit, but aside from that was strong. My mom straightened.
“Bruce, I think it’s time to go. Take our girl. Introduce her to Dick” my mom ordered
“C’mon Veronica. Time to go home” he took my hand
“I go par Evelyn Veronica Isabelle Lang now” I said
“Well Evelyn, let’s go home” he smiled. We walked to the thingies I entered in and we were suddenly in a dark cave. I followed him to an elevator, which took us into a large mansion. I heard footsteps as a young boy my age came running. He looked almost exactly like me aside from the eyes. His were electric blue.
“Bruce, when are we-“ he stopped mid sentence when he saw me.
“Batman, I-you-does she?” he managed
“She knows somewhat who I am, but I know exactly who she is. And it’s time toi knew too. But after I change” he said. He let go of my hand and walked out of the room. I stood, un moving until he returned. He looked almost exactly as I remembered, but 10 years older.
“Dick, have a seat” he said.
