I stepped back, confused and red-faced. The guy who had kissed me was tall with pale blonde hair and eyes the color of butter. His skin was the color of lait chocolat and his black anguille tatouages spiraling down his arms looked extremely painful. His face was red to as the other people looked at him in shock. One with red hair pulled him away from the group. He a dit something, then the pale hair one looked away and murmured something in reply. I tried to speak, but my voice evaded me. I just wish they could here in my mind. I felt my ear and found a weird device in it. I pulled it out and realized it was a comm. unit. I found my name on it for some reason. I didn’t remember getting it. In fact, I didn’t remember much from when I woke up in a strange place with an even stranger hostess. I closed my eyes and sat on the sand. I crossed my legs and focased on the wisps of memory at the very edge of my mind. I caught one. It showed me a girl that looked exactly like me getting beat up par Superman. I caught another one. It showed the same girl bowing saying her name was Night. I caught a wisp larger than the others. It showed to of the guys with me on the beach. In each picture, I was s’embrasser one. It changed to montrer each of them with another girl, me alone in the middle. Suddenly, all the people’s names on the plage washed over me like a wave.
“Kalder, Wally, Robin, M’gann, Connor and Artemis” I recalled, opening my eyes. M’gann was leaning down beside me.
“M’gann, why didn’t I remember toi and the team?” I asked
“I wish I knew. Night, I can try to help toi find your memories, if toi want” she offered. I shook my head. Then I thought of the girl who Kalder was with now. The girl whose name I know curse. The girl coming out of the water this very moment. I glared in her direction.
“I thought I smelled a wet rat” I growled. She looked away. Kalder walked over to me. I got up and turned my back on him with a huff.
“Night, believe it ou not, Tula was as worried for toi as Robin was” Kalder murmured. I half turned around.
“How worried was Robin?” I asked casually “On a scale of 1 to ten, ten being extremely worried”
“Ten. Maybe eleven” Kalder
“Why was Robin that worried?” I asked
“Because, that night, he was going to tell toi something very important. He was going to tell toi that he-“ he was cut off par Robin who had thrown a plage ball at his head. I looked at him. I saw his face was red.
“Robin, toi might want to get some sunscreen on your face. I think toi may have sunburn” I recommended. Wally laughed and snickered something along the lines of ‘Yeah Robin, go put some sunscreen on’ to Robin. Robin then gave him an I’ll-kill-you-later glare, my specialty. I laughed as Wally put his hands up in surrender. A question came to my head; Why was Robin so worried about me?
