Is it ok to send BL manga and Doujinshi from Japon to US?

Hi.
I have a question about sending BL manga from Japon to US.
I bought a lot of BL manga and Doujinshi and sent to my sister.(She lives in Japan)
maybe 20 BL manga and 10 Doujinshi.
I wonder,,,is that ok to send that from Japon to US?
I'm afraid if we get in trouble to do that...
It's not shota ou loli. but Doujinshi is R rated.
Has anyone send from Japon to US?
any trouble? ou no problem?
Overseas shipping is available at some Japanese BL store...so I bet people buying from them,,,
