in the baseball scene in twilight, why do they need thunder to play?

there are a few reasons,

the sound of the bat hitting the ball is so loud, it is just like thunder.
also, when emmett and edward run into eachother it sounds just the same way.

the thunder is just that the sounds from the game are disguised.

When two vampires run into each other, ou when they hit the ball, the noise is really loud, as loud as thunder. So they need the sound of the thunder to disguise that sound, otherwise people would call the police and stuff.

they hit so hard that it sounds like thunder

because when they hit the ball it sounds like thunder and when emmet and edward run into eachother it sounds like rocks clashing together

The reason they need the thunder to play is because of the following:
- They are vamps. so they are souper strong and fast
- when they hit the ball it sounds like thunder, so they need to deisguise it
-when they run in to each other it's like boulders hitting each other
thats all the reasons i can think of at the moment

I think it's because when they hit the ball it makes a very loud sound ou something so they need the sound of thunder to hide the sound of them hitting the ball.

Well they needed the storm because when the ball hits the bat it sounds like thunder. also if they didnt have the storm, people could question why it makes such a loud noise.

cause when they hit the ball it sounds like thunder cause they hit it soooooo hard.

They need it to play because they hit the ball so hard they need the thunder to cover it up ( and it sounds like thunder ) and cuz if they crash it sounds like boulders but it still blends in

They need the thunder to play baseball because the force of one of them swinging the bat into the ball makes a thunderous sound. It is very loud and could bring attention to them, which they do not want. Also, the sound of two vampires colliding sounds like two boulders being slammed together.

I would have thought that was SERIOUSLY obvious.
They need thunder because the vampired are REALLY strong so the ball make a thunder like sound when they hit it.

Ok This is soooooooooooooo obvious!
vampires rock and are so strong that when they hit the ball it makes a load sound just like thunder!!! So if there is already thunder, the humans won't notice and the Cullens can stay in forks without causing attention, happily!!

They need the thunder because when they throw,run, and catch it makes really loud noices

Because when they play, they make a lot of noise. So if people hear them, they would think it was just the thunder.
