Why is Nikki Reed wearing a wig for New Moon?

On opting for a blonde wig: “My hair fell out. It took 36 hours initially to make me blond, and every other day, I was bleaching my head and my skin. This time around, we are testing out different wigs and stuff. I know how upset everyone is going to be, but [my devotion to Rosalie] is why I did it initially.”

She a dit in an interview that they took alot of time to get her to look like Rosalie. So, she bleached her skin like Twilight, but they used a wig this time to save time and money.

Edit: they used a wig at first in Twilight, but it was too much of a hassel. So, they dyed her hair instead

It took 36 hours to dye Nikki's hair..as she a dit in an interview..and she's working on other projects as well..so she doesnt want to go through the hassle of dying it back and forth..and also because some of her hair fell out after dying her hair...bummer..poor nikki =D

she didn't want to dye it because in Twilight it took a lot of time and her hair got fucked up it even fell off in some parts.
I think its better now, the wig looks even blonder!

Nikki Reed is wearing a wig for New moon because she refused to die her hair. In Twilgiht they died her her like every week, they had to blech it blode because her hiar is naturally very dark brown. Nikki's hair started to fall out in clumps so she refused to die it for New Moon she a dit she would get wigged and thats it.
