Brittani's POV: I wiped a swag of hair out of my face and inhaled. "Hello New York!" I a dit with a fluent British accent. The audience went wild as if Michael Jackson was standin up here on the stage. "Tonight, I will be performin two of my own songs as well as the latest hits from Owl City and P!NK!!!"
The audience cheered loudly and it echoed inside the stadium like church bells right at your ears.
One, two, three... I nodded towards Johnny, Juno my female guitare player, and Nexxus the female drummer. Nexxus started playing a light beat on the cymbals and Johnny sat at the keyboards, playing an electronic rhythm. I inhaled, hearing whistles cry out from the audience, and began singing.
You would not beleive your eyes
If ten million fireflies
Lit up the world as I fell asleep
'Cause they'd fill the open air
And leave teardrops everywhere
You'd think me rude
But I would just stand and, stare
I'd like to make myself beleive
That Planet Earth, turns
Slowly
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake
When I'm asleep
'Cause everything is never as it seems
'Cause I'd get a thousand hugs
From ten thousand lightning bugs
As they tried to teach me how to dance
A foxtrot above my head
A chaussette hop beneath my bed
A disco ball is just hanging par a thread (thread, thread)
The audience was in awe of a female reperformance of a hit male song. I looked around the audience looking for Duncan at the from row, where he was, but saw nothing related to hid being. He wasn't there. He left me. Tears formed in my eyes as I was singing, but I shook them off. Maybe he went to go find me, i thought.
Duncan wouldn't lie to me......would he?
Duncan's POV: I stood in the dark, thick shadows behind the drumset. Nobody knew I was there, and I intented to keep it that way....for now. Soon, the singer finished her song. I've read all about her online. Jennavive Annalise McCartnie, a three-named prodegy like Chad Dylan Cooper (XD srry I just HAD to put that in), wrote and published her first song at age thirteen. I've heard her voice before, but not from her body. I know that voice, but I don't know who from.
The brunette pulled up a tabouret and sat on it, strumming a red acoustic guitar, starting the melody to her hit song Rain in Seattle.
I smiled a bit. Rain in Seattle is my favori rock/love song. I looked around for Brittani. She a dit she went to the car, but wouldn't she be back par now?
I shrugged and told myself to give her about twenty plus minutes. Meanwhile, I listened to Jennavive sing.
Tell me baby, do toi feel sorry why toi live?
Do toi ever worry where your soulmate is?
Is it me, ou that high class woman toi got in arm
I do all I can to win toi back, but I try and try and try again
To make toi see
Click that camera obturateur once and disturb the peace
Smile as toi run through the fields, daydreams of me
Drivin' down the misty roads of this downtown era
Gotta make it through the storm, pull yourself together!
We'll make it through the day
If the rain stays at bay
toi makin the whole world cry
When toi tell me your goodbyes
Say it ain't so when toi leave me, toi go so
Party at the bar and sleep out in the snow
toi know I won't give a damn
When I'm with an unforgivin damnin man!
So why does the rain always fall so hard, so strong
When the l’amour is torn to pieces, toi know I'm long gone
My windows are foggin up
My cœur, coeur is closin up
The rain in Seattle always falls so hard
When toi say goodbye
A tear fell down my cheek as I listened. This wasn't the Rain in Seattle that I had once heard on the radio. The song I knew wasn't this emotional. I knew there was a reason she redid the song like that. And I'm gonna find out why.
