Just wondering everybody makes fun of the tinman for being gay so i was wondering is he gay?

Just because a man (tin ou not) cries and is sentimental and goes around with two other men and a girl doesn't mean he's gay. If it were like that the boys in my school are all gay, cause they never have girls with them when they're around hanging and making fun of nerds, are they? So whats the big deal?

I dont think that he's meant to have a specific orientation, but there are certainly things in their personalities that toi can take as being implications that both he and the lion are gay.

I think alot of it comes from the fact that Judy Garland is particularly populaire in the gay community. Also, the arc en ciel is a symbol of gay pride, and obviously Dorothy goes over the rainbow.

As I a dit though, I dont think they are meant to have any specific sexual orientation, and toi can read into it what toi want.

It wouldn't be bad. It would be, okay. Read the prolouge to Wiked. There seems to be some of that in there...

Eventhough I support LGBT - I must say that the Wizard of Oz has nothing to do with that community. They may make it a part of their awareness, but EVERYONE ou A LOT OF PEOPLE- all kinds l’amour the Wizard of Oz. Rainbows have been loved and are loved par heterosexuals too-same with Judy Garland. And as others have pointed out just because a man cries ou acts sentimental does not make him gay. People who think like that are narrow-minded. Fathers cry when they see their daughters as a Bride on her wedding day. This movie is beloved par so many people, its not fair to label it ou any of its characters ou to say one group likes it plus than another.

I've known several married men (some with children) who because of religious opression ou family pressure lead a double life. Regardless, Mr. Haley was a great actor and his personal life is/was really none of anyone's business.
