I remember visiting this website once...
It was called ‘Vampire Diaries’: Oscar The Heretic Spoilers — Tim Kang Interview | TVLine
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
If there’s a rule against using magic under the influence, someone forgot to tell Oscar, the new heretic being introduced on Thursday’s
Vampire Diaries‘ Kat Graham Previews Phoenix Stone Twist, Bonnie’s Future
“He’s a laid-back stoner who’s been living the high life off the grid for a while now,” Tim Kang tells TVLine of his unconventional character. “He’s been on an assignment from Lily, and he’s really taking advantage of that time off from the family, just enjoying himself.”
Of course, Oscar’s good times are about to come to a screeching halt when Bonnie, Damon and Alaric come knocking on his door in search of answers about the Phoenix Stone.

Below, Kang gives TVLine the dirty deets on Oscar, how he compares to his uptight “siblings” and, of course, what it’s like to mess with a stoned heretic.
TVLINE | I have to imagine there’s more to Oscar that makes this worth the trip.
We will come to realize he has a surprising connection to the Salvatores, and I think it’ll be a fun reveal.
TVLINE | I also feel like smoking weed and using magic can be either really fun… or really dangerous.
] I think for the most part, in Oscar’s case, it’s really fun. But when push comes to shove, he turns out to be dangerous. He’s the kind of character who doesn’t pick fights, but if you want to fight, he’ll definitely bring it. And we’ll be seeing some of that in the next two episodes.
TVLINE | I like that it sounds like he’s not just an outright villain.
He’s a lover, not a fighter. But being a heretic and having the witch and vampire qualities affords him a great deal of power. And he can use that power when he needs to.
TVLINE | Unless my research is wrong, you’ve played neither a vampire nor a witch before.
You’re absolutely right. Throughout my career, I’ve played pretty straight characters — the soldier, the police officer, the doctor, the lawyer. It was really refreshing to, no pun intended, sink my teeth into this role. I had a great time with Ian [Somerhalder]. Kat [Graham] and Matt [Davis].
TVLINE | Heretic politics can get kind of messy. Where does Oscar fit into the group?
He’s actually the glue, to some degree, that holds the family together. We’ll find out very soon where he fits within the family dynamic; he’s the happy-go-lucky fun guy — and once the fun guy goes away, what do you have?

I LOVE HIM AND I HOPE HE STAYS FOREVER. I was sold on him just from the brief scene in the Producer’s Preview, LMAO. CANNOT WAIT.
There’s no business like Cho business. I’ll be watching tonight.
I’m excited to see him on tvd and hope he stays for awhile! From the preview his character is the only one of the heretics I like so far!
