The Vampire Diaries TV montrer Question

Stefan seem plus accepting of Caroline as a vampire even in the way beginning of her time as a vampire. but with Elena right from the start he didn’t like her a vampire and was less support of her.

and stefan made caroline feel like when she made mistakes she would be okay but with elena just she can't any mistakes.

Perhaps it was because he was in l’amour with Elena but not Caroline. I mean we are always plus critical of those we are closest to. i agree with delenalove, he was definitely clinging onto the girl who died on the bridge.

But I think it was partially due to guilt. He knew that she never wanted to be a vampire (from her convo with him in 2x20). And when he failed to save her and she became something she didn't want to be, he felt incredibly guilty because it was as if he had taken away her choice.

Stefan holds high morals on what is wrong and right, partially due to the fact that he has done very wrong things in his life and regrets them. I think he was just extra protective of her and wanted her to not do the same things he did and end of regretting them as much as he did, because as many people noted, Elena's humanity is her greatest (and occasionally worst) strength. Maybe part of him believed that if he could somehow have old elena in the vampire skin, it would be like he never let her die.

And I guess part of it was due to jealousy because as a vampire, Elena grew plus attracted to Damon, and maybe he thought curing the vampire part would also cure the part of her that loves his brother. That is why he fought so hard for the cure, because he was fighting for a chance (in his eyes) to bring back that girl he loved.

Although I wasn't particularly happy he kept telling Elena she needed to change, I was happy where they left off in the finale. He gave her the cure, not forcing it down her throat. He gave it to her because despite how much he wanted to be human, he wanted to give the girl he loved a choice, the choice to be whatever she wished to be. Since her choice was essentially taken from her when she turned after dying on the bridge (because he saved Matt first), essentially he feels like he's redeemed himself for letting her die.

Agree. With Caroline, it was the beginning of a friendship, where Stefan used it as his fresh start. An opportunity to make up for all his past mistakes par teaching Caroline the right way to live.

With Elena, Stefan was desperately clinging to the last strands of his humanity, which he felt died with Elena in the river. When Elena made a mistake, it was like he made a mistake and he took it out on her.

While I get where Stefan was coming from with this, very unfair to Elena.
