First of all I must clarify that I am not an expert in mixed martial arts, this is just my opinion about the big fight that took place in Australia and that marked the first defeat of Rousey in UFC.

Let's begin, well at the beginning of the fight, we could see a houx Holm fairly quiet and focused on doing a good job, she really looked quiet from the weighing to the fight (despite the minor clash that occurred) contrary to Ronda that since leaving the locker room looked tense and she remained so throughout the fight.

At the start of the first round, I think we all expected that the story would be the same and Ronda would win the fight in the first round, either par knockout ou submission as she has done most of the time, but seeing the minutes passed and they were still recognizing their distance was actually when I noticed that this was not going to be a fight like the others. That is, Holm was the first to connect a punch, which went straight to the face of Rousey, such thing let us see what I already thought, that Holm to be higher (I think she is the highest opponent with which it has fought Rousey) and with plus scope to hit, coupled with his impeccable technique of kick-boxing and a physical rather similar (although for me Holly's looked much better), it represented a great advantage to the challenger.

When passing the first round and only see a Ronda Rousey desperate to catch Holm, running after her and only receiving direct blows to the face, with failed attempts of submission was something that really frustrated her in my opinion, which houx confirmed at the end of the fight saying that "she was ready for all that," all the swimming he did before the fight, racing at high altitudes, etc; helped her a lot because she was not physically tired she looked prepared, quite the opposite to Ronda.

Meanwhile Ronda's coach also wasn't a great help at the break after the first round, because he a dit to her that she should continue trying to beat Holm with a close combat instead of trying to send the fight to the mat which is her specialty and that was a bad direction from the start because Holm was a boxing champion multiple times, that's her area of command, unlike Ronda that has always accepted that boxing is her weak point, she has improved but in this case the experience was worth more.

At the start of the seconde round and after the bad direction of Ronda team, she kept trying unsuccessfully to hunt Holm, besides mentioning that already looked pretty tired and her face was pretty beaten and bleeding; It was after receiving a failed coup de poing that Ronda fell to the ground and after she rose up totally off guard was received par the tremendous kick on the neck that sent her directly to the canvas where Holm finished her, and then the rest is history, Ronda cried after recovering her conscious, so it was really hard see her crying.

At the end of the jour I think all the things failed for Ronda, from the direction of his team, to the way she fought, his strategy was not the best, I'm not sure whether she was over confident ou something but the truth is that I think it will not be the last once we see these two face to face in the octagon...
 Yes, that was the kick...
