Has anyone heard that Carlotta didn't sing her own part because she couldn't sing the high notes ou something?

Do toi mean Minnie Driver, the actress who played Carlotta in the movie? If that's the case, then yes- she didn't sing her parts. As far as I know she's never had operatic training. Margaret Preece sang the part. Although Minnie does sing "Learn to Be Lonely" during the credits.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was the reason. I do believe she is an alto, and some sopranos cannot reach those high notes ;)

i never knew that calotta didnt sing her part. thats really intresting.

Yeah if toi mean Minnie Driver then yeah, she did not sing. But she can she. She chose not to sing because, she thought she would not be able to sing as high as she had to.
