In the episode "Conflict Resolution", Creed sprouts mung beans and eats them. Can toi actually eat them uncooked?

"I sprout mung beans on a damp paper towel in my bureau drawer. Very nutritious, but they smell like death." Can toi eat mung beans without cooking them ou preparing them in any way? Basically, will they kill you?
