The Host is definitely a million times better than Twilight. There is romance, but unlike Twilight, the main character is a three-dimensional person and the l’amour interest isn't a stalker boyfriend. In my opinion, Stephenie Meyer should write plus adult novels and stop with Twilight.
It is NOTHING like Twilight. It is 100 time better, I can't believe that SM wrote the same books. Just read it, that's all I can say, it is amazing. You'll l’amour it.
it also has romance but it is not only about that, its plus about human feelings from the perspective of someone who isn't and she is overwhelmed par them (they montrer motherhood, anger and strong feelings like these) the romance part is also different from twilight, they only fall in l’amour after knowing each other, sharing experiences etc, in twilight it was almost l’amour at first sight. don't expect to find anything similar between these 2 livres (just that in both men are perfect XD)
