Was John Lennon a Christian?

I read this article but I still think that he is Cristianity. But he believe in magic and powerfull witches.

Remember John's answer to the media when he a dit the Beatles were plus populaire than Christ? During the interview with the writer, he a dit something along the line of "Religion will go". Any real Christian would not make that kind of statement, but that was one statement at one time. A real fan of John would admit he searched for most of his life for an "answer". He tried India, primal scream therapy, and other means to bet his answer, but I don't think ever found it. I would like to think he had turned to Christ towards the end of his life, even in a private manner. Maybe even as he lay dying in an ambulance. The answer to this question will forever lay in John's heart.
