Well this is a game I never knew existed. Most of these games, I had minor knowledge of, but this is a game I never heard of, not a once. Terrawars: New York Invasion is a shooter all about playing as a soldier that must stop an alien invasion taking place in New York, obviously. The game was developed par Lady Luck Digital Media, this being their first and last game. Released on Xbox Original and PC, Terrawars was a game made on passion. The developers themselves went to New York City, Manhattan to be exact, in order to get the game to look as close to New York as possible. It’s kind of nice that these guys had the passion to do that. Now, did they put as much effort into the game developing itself? No.
So the game starts with a titre screen that looks like your mom spilled wine on the family vacation photos par accident and we start with the first level of the game. The game doesn’t really give toi much context. toi just start the game and are dropped into a cutscene of a destroyed New York while your helicopters fly overhead. And with no musique ou dialogue, just the sound of the helicopters, it gives a very awkward feeling. Then toi get the first mission… It’s a tourelle section, yippie. And I don’t know if it’s my version of the game, but the gatling gun is loud. Like really lou. I had to turn down the volume on my TV to keep it quiet. And the aliens in this game look really dull. They’re just these blue humanoids that explode in a feu of green when toi kill them. These aren’t the aliens from Halo, that’s for sure. Thankfully the tourelle section isn’t too long and toi get on foot eventually. But man, does it leave much to be desired. Unlike other FPS games like Halo, which has a lot going on and with quick gameplay, Terrawars just has toi stand there as toi feu at one alien at a time, slowly draining their health before toi déplacer onto the suivant one. Why do these aliens have to have so much health? It’s just tedious to kill them. And the lack of any ambience ou any musique ou anything but your gun and the same one scream sound toi hear from the aliens starts to get really tiring. But trust me, once I got to the first friendly ally in the game, I wish I didn’t ask.
toi run into a friendly AI shortly in the first level, and boy, did this game skimp out on the voice acting. Private Jim morgan (Yes, that’s his name) just walks up and talks like a shitty Inspector Gadget, and what do toi get next? plus enemies to shoot. It’s not challenging, maybe it’s harder on difficulty, but that doesn’t change the fact that they take so much ammo to kill. In a game like this, you’d want an enemy to die quickly, déplacer on to the next, and keep moving. That’s what makes a FPS game fun. Not slowly picking them off with gun like you’re trying to chip at a sidewalk. Terrawars feels plus like hard work than a fun game. Now toi do get an assault fusil, carabine which makes picking them off a plus bearable task, but let me ask you. Do toi wanna play a cheap FPS game with the same looking alien enemy that runs at toi and dies in a green flame in a very bland environment with no sounds but your gun and Inspector Gadget, ou do toi wanna play the Halo?
Terrawars is probably one of the hardest games I had to review, not because it’s a difficult game ou a game I don’t want to play (I don’t want to play it), but because there is nothing to talk about. What toi see is what toi get, people. There is nothing much to see here. If toi saw the gameplay, just for a second, you’ve seen the entire game. I don’t think toi are missing anything when I tell toi you’ll be better off playing any other FPS game. Terrawars is just another dull, uninteresting FPS in a sea of dull, uninteresting FPS’s.

Hello dudes and dudettes,Silent Borse is in the house and I have a not so special announcement to make:
Remember Opposite jour last year?Well get ready for the madness once again this an because after making a vote about whether ou not we should hold another Opposite Day(and turn it into an annual event in general)to see if the others agree as well:link
I(with the suggestions of Lefteris and Riku) have come to the conclusion that we should hold the Opposite jour on November 25 this Sunday.Reason why this rendez-vous amoureux, date was chosen?Because the majority of users on here should have free time on that day.
P.S.
If anyone has any disagreements about the rendez-vous amoureux, date than feel free to contact me.
