DVD Ripper ou Converter???

Doen anyone know where I can find a good and Fast Dvd Ripper ou Converter?

I would want it to Rip ou Convert into at least
Avi and Mpeg files

I have been able to find a lot of DVD Rippers although they have not been fast at all.

I want a free DVd Ripper, of course, but if in the end I have to spend $ on one I will.

I used to have a converter that to convert a 20 min video in 2 min. But then my compuer got a virus and I never got it back. (And I have no idea what it was)
