Usually, I try a clever remark to counteract it. Although, if I can't think of a good one off the haut, retour au début of my head, I usually just say something along the lines of, "And toi care because?" ou "Nice observation!" (said snidely) and turn the other way. All in all, though, I usually ignore them. Except when I'm called weird. I AM weird. You're just too normal! XP
Here are some comebacks that I've come up with:
If someone calls toi fat:
"And you're ugly. I can diet."
"Correction: I'm overweight. Fat is a substance found under the first layer of skin. Last time I checked, I'm human, not fat." (for toi nerds out there)
"I'd rather be fat than rude like you."
If someone calls toi ugly:
"I'm my own kind of beautiful."
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If toi don't think I'm pretty, cry me a river, build me a bridge, and GET OVER IT."
"At least I have my manners. Unlike some people." (looking bully up and down and walking off)
If someone calls toi stupid/slow:
"At least my reaction time's quicker." (bully doesn't know what you're talking about and/or laughs, toi poke his/her cheek quickly and walk away)
"And this bothers toi because?" (if they say because it means they're better than toi ou something, scoff and continue ignoring them)
If someone says you're not cool:
"Well, cool is the same as cold. If I'm not cold, then I'm hot. I am hot. Thank toi for embracing it." (wink and walk away)
"If being 'cool' means being rude and disrespectful like you, then I'm happy the way I am, thank you."
(if it's because toi don't have many friends) "I'd rather have a few loyal Friends than to be Friends with people even remotely like you."
(For glasses-wearers) If someone calls toi four-eyes:
"How ORIGINAL. toi get that off of Rugrats?"
"No, I have two eyes. My glasses just help them see. No, really. Look it up."
If someone insults your family:
"You know nothing about me ou my family. And if they're lucky, they'll never have the pleasure of meeting you."
"Oh, that's right. I forgot you've been living with my family for (your age) years, so toi must know them much better than I. My apologies." (said snidely)
If someone calls toi gay/homosexual:
"Takes one to know one."
(if they're the same sex as you) "Why do toi want to know? Is that a proposition?"
(if toi are homosexual) "Yes I am. Thank toi for embracing it."
Works for pretty much any insult:
"Hey, stay away from me. I'm an asshole-phobic." (or allergic to assholes)
"Don't toi have anything better to do with your jour than be an asshole to people toi don't even know?"
"I have my taste/opinion, toi have yours. Let's just agree to disagree, because I'm not wasting my time and energy with you."
"I could say I hate your guts, but I actually don't hate you. I'm indifferent because I'm not wasting my time with someone whom I don't give a damn."
"I'm not scared of you. I just don't give a damn."
