Maths problem!!!Need Help!!!!

a rectangular tank with no lid has a surface area of 486cm3. If it's length is twice its height and it's width is half it's height, find the dimensions of the tank.

explain if possible!!!!! Thank you!!!!

So, toi know that the surface area is 486cm3. The formula to find out the surface area is length x width x height. So thats:

L x W x H = 486cm3

Now, this becomes algebraic. toi need to find a common length that the others are all relative to, which is given: height.

Length = Height x 2, which simplifies to L = 2H
Width = Height / 2, which simplifies to W = 0.5H

toi then put them into the formula.

2H x 0.5H x H = 486 cm3

See how toi go from here. If toi need anymore help, just ask.
