Most of them believe it's wrong due to their religion ou on basic terms,their own beliefs. But! Let us take christianisme for example. Not every Christian believes that it is a sin. Same goes for every other religion. It's all a matter of belief.

Well it's their religion, they have the right to believe in whatever they think is right, just like toi have the right to believe heterosexual is okay and that is amazing
Personally I don't care if someone is heterosexual it doesn't affect me in any way possible.

It's quite new for pop culture to accept any other sexuality, so people are simply frightened. Take any religion, race, idea that was introduced to society...people shun it and go against it because people are simply afraid of change and how this change is going to effect them and their prosterity.

At least, that's my view on it.
