she laughs with her friends

she holds the tears at bay

she gets home
her brother tells her what she has done wrong this time.
she hold up her act at being happy

she gets on her sûr, sans danger place
the computer
but even here she cant get away
she gets mean and anger messages
from people she doesnt know in real life

she takes off her mask
she cries as she sits in her bed
she looks at the texts her friend sent her.
she wonders why she is Friends with the girl named vickie
when Vickie only hurts her over and over.

she looks at the scars on her arm that she made
her mom forgot the promise
the promise for her to stop cutting if her mom stops drinking
she saw her mom drinking the other day.
it hurt her.

she sits in her room with the lights off
