Prince William and Prince Harry are set to inherit their mother, Princess Diana\'s, wedding dress, just in time for Harry\'s 30
It fulfils their late mother\'s will, which stipulates the dress should be given to her sons after Harry turns 30 on September 15.
This follows the news that Prince Harry will inherit £10 million  ($17.7m) from his mother\'s estate when he turns 30.
Prince William also received a large inheritance from the trust fund when he turned 30 in 2012, although Harry is believed to be receiving more, thanks to interest gained since William\'s inheritance.
Arguably the world\'s most famous wedding dress, Diana\'s gown was created by British designers Elizabeth and David Emanuel for her 1981 wedding to Prince Charles.
The ivory dress was made in silk, taffeta and lace, featured a 7.5 metre train and was embroidered with 10,000 pearls.
Since her death the gown has been in the possession of Diana\'s brother, Charles Spencer, who recently loaned it along with 150 items to a global travelling exhibition.
exhibition was in Ohio, with all funds raised going to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund to help disadvantaged people around the world.
The wedding dress was on display at the Spencer family\'s Althorp estate in Northampton, from 1998.
There are hopes the dress will now be put on display at Kensington Palace in London, once the brothers receive it, according to Women\'s Day.
Kensington Palace, once Princess Diana\'s home, is now home to Prince Harry, Prince William, Duchess Catherine and baby Prince George.
William lives with his family in apartment 1A inside the palace, which they recently had renovated.
Prince Harry lives in Nottingham Cottage in the palace grounds.
Harry will be celebrating his birthday in style, with the Duchess of Cambridge organising a party at the palace.
reported the party will have a nightclub theme, including dancers, a cocktail bar and some of the Prince\'s favourite music.
"Kate and Wills want to make it a special night as Harry moves into a new stage of his life," a source told
The party could get awkward, however, with reports that both his ex-girlfriends, Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy, are on the guest list.
"Harry has no problem with seeing his exes all under the same roof. Let\'s just hope they don\'t either," the source said.
"Harry loves [Cressida\'s] cranky sense of humour. And he is still very fond of [her]. He likes to stay friends with all his exes – so he\'ll be happy if she\'s there," the source said.
The Duchess may have invited the Prince\'s new girlfriend, 25-year-old Camilla Thurlow, the source said.
The pair met while working for Princess Diana\'s anti-landmine charity, The Halo Trust, where Thurlow works as a projects officer.
claims that Harry and Thurlow are "just friends", so her presence shouldn\'t affect the mood of the celebration.
In lieu of birthday presents, Prince Harry has asked for donations to his charity Walking With the Wounded.
