Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
‘Pretty Little Liars’ Just Made A Major Change To Its Premiere
The scene that haunted your dreams may have just been reshot.
When the game-changing first four minutes of the “Pretty Little Liars” season 6 midseason premiere were released earlier this month, one scene in particular stood out: Spencer sitting outside the Capitol in Washington D.C. It’s not that we didn’t imagine Spencer making a name for herself in D.C. That all made sense. The green screen, however, did not.
Behold, the moment that made an entire room full of “PLL” fans burst into laughter at the “Pretty Little Liars” panel at New York Comic Con:
Listen, we know “Pretty Little Liars” shoots on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, Ca., but if this is the same show that can turn Rory Gilmore’s alma mater, Chilton Preparatory School, into Radley Sanitarium then it can make us believe that Spencer
works in D.C. We weren’t the only fans that noticed the shoddy green screen work — and now it looks like someone behind the scenes noticed as well.
In an Instagram photo posted on Thursday, “PLL” executive producer Lisa Cochran-Neilan seemed to imply that the crew had just shot the last reshoot of Season 6. Seeing as the episode doesn’t premiere until January 12, creator Marlene King and her talented team still have time to make any additional changes. Judging by the fan reaction at NYCC, this was probably a top priority.
The caption read: “Last “reshoot” of #PLL season 6, budget was limited @sleepinthegardn stand in was a bit unusual. Photo cred: @lasteere”
This looks like the same setup as Spencer’s original scene, with her reading Ali’s letter on a bench by Capitol Hill. We have to give it to Troian Bellisario’s stand-in; he’s truly working it.
Could they be reshooting the scene using a different backdrop? Or are they using different lighting? It’s hard to tell, but one thing is certain: regardless of whether they correct it or not, we’re still going to watch, and love, “Pretty Little Liars.”
