Pam isn't gay per se, she loves women but she also showed interest in Lafayette and in the 2nd book she admitted to Sookie over the phone that she liked Stan.

She's bi if I'm not mistaken. I do think they would make a good couple. They both get each other, there's loads of UST and well Pam has a habit of making Eric tease her..lol

I think she needs someone to spend time with and isn't looking for a long-term relationship and Eric is great with that, but she's very loyal to him and maybe they see each other like sort of family now.
