Cuddy was with Wilson in her office. Wilson had papers in his hand.
Cuddy: What are these?
Wilson: House is incapable of making sane decisions when he’s in this condition. Admitting him is the safest option.
Cuddy: Just because it’s safe, doesn’t make it the right thing to do.
Wilson: You’re his medical proxy; all toi need to do is sign the forms.
Cuddy: It will ruin him. Possibly destroy who he is.
Wilson: It’s the only choice he has.
Cuddy: I can’t do this to him; I won’t do this to him.
Wilson: If toi don’t do this, then he’ll get worse. Do toi really want that on your conscience?
Cuddy looked down at the forms placed in her hands.
Cuddy: If this doesn’t work—
Wilson: Then, I don’t know.
Cuddy signed the forms, and handed them to Wilson. Even though she knew Wilson was right, she couldn’t bare the thought of being part of it.
--
Cuddy entered House’s office. He was laying on his otto-man, looking even plus annoyed than usual as his hallucination of Amber carried on bothering him.
House: Why do toi look so guilty?
Cuddy: Wilson thinks toi need to be admitted to a psychiatric ward.
House: From the sound of your voice, I’m guessing toi don’t.
Cuddy moved House’s leg so she could sit down on the foot-stool.
Cuddy: If it did work, we’ll lose one of the best doctors this hospital has ever had.
House: But if it doesn’t?
Cuddy: If it doesn’t, I’ll be losing a very important friend whom I care about a lot plus than they think I do.
House: A lose/lose situation.
Cuddy: I’ve signed the forms.
House and Cuddy exchanged looks of frustration and worry.
House: It was not your decision to make.
Cuddy: You’re not capable of making a decision like this.
House: toi went behind my back. toi don’t even understand what this means do you?
Cuddy got up to leave, not before turning back around to say one last thing.
Cuddy: Be thankful toi have people who give a damn about you; otherwise you’d be a lot worse off.
Cuddy left, leaving House concerned for himself. Would he lose his gift par being pushed into a box he knew he didn’t belong in? ou would it turn out to be the right choice to make?
