Why I Enjoyed Harry Potter plus than Twilight

Twihards ou Rabid fans (thats obsessive Twilight fans, all of you): Don't read this. I don't want to get mauled ou drowned.
I apologize for any spelling ou grammar errors.
Don't get me wrong- I like Twilight just fine. However, many parts of it really annoyed me. Here are my reasons why I liked Harry Potter better.

1. Characters.
Lets compare:
Lead female role in HP: Hermione Granger. Flaws: a bit nerdy, Know-it-all, and Bossy. Good traits: Stood up for herself (as well as think for herself), worked against racism (for house-elves), was loyal to Harry at all times, and didn't try to kill herself...

Hey, I was originally going to put this in the commentaires section of a 'picks' question, but I realized it was too long so I put it here.

This is what I think, about the crap they call the 'Twilight Saga'. A book based on an author's wet dreams and hopes.

Twilight- Who? WHO FALLS IN l’amour AFTER SEEING A PERSON THREE TIMES IN THEIR ENTIRE LIFE?! Plus, I'll summarize the entire book.

It's like-
Bella: Oh Edward, toi hate me.
Edward: No I l’amour you
Bella: toi l’amour me?
Edward: Stay away from me.
Bella: Stay away from you?
Edward: Just stay with me. I mean, it was obvious I wanted toi from the start, wasn't...

A lot of debates is going on about who would win, if Harry and Edward got in a fight ou duel.
This is understandable since it summerize the whole wizards vs. vampires thing.
I will try to be objective and analize their chances fair.

1.Physical abilitys
Harry is, besides his magic, a human. He trains Quidditch and he is not exactly out of form, but he just doesn`t have what it takes to break trees in half and stop rushing cars. He can die because of wounds.
Edward on the other hand, is incredebly strong and fast (and cold and never eats and we all know what he is - a vampire). He CAN break trees...

NOTE: I'm a HP fan, nothing against Twilight though.

Twilight
•Edward is hot.
ME: Umm...not really to me...wait..books ou movies?
•JK Rowling failed at love.
ME: Lily Evans gave her life for Harry, and lots more.
•It has a l’amour triangle.
ME: Well...HP has l’amour triangles too. Hermione, Lavender, Ron. Harry, Ginny, Cho. Cho, Harry, Cedric. Severus, Lily, James. And LOADS more.
•Harry Potter is only about a fairy tale. It has a boy who raises a stick in the air and never dies.
ME: Well...vampires...

2. Go up to a twilight fan, scream 'Bella! Bella! BELLA!!!! YOU'RE AWESOME!!!!' when they say 'I know right!' say 'Oh no I meant Bellatrix'

I have just watched Remember Me staring Robert Pattinson and I was blown away! Seeing him only in Twilight and Harry Potter which was only for a few moments at a time, i was not expecting much from him. I was pretty much expecting the same boring, lifelessness he gives as Edward. Was i WRONG.

He is a decent actor, I think he could go far with his actin carer. I'm not going to give anything away but in this movie Pattinson showed me that toi should not base an actors jouer la comédie on just one film.

I've seen the spot ,it fulls of fights ,and they shouldn't be existed the comparing is very harsh ,how can toi compare a girl to boy , there are many differences, the girl searches for true l’amour and she find it ,it's a romantic story talking about vampires ,but harry potter talks about wizards ,it has a lot adventures ,but they have something in common they are fantaisie stories then tell me how could anyone compare wizards to vampires who drink human blood with wizards are magical people who defend their self's with magical things. They are clever skillful.

How Twilight and Harry Potter can't really be compared...

So I have heard/read a LOT of arguments over this topic, and I find it ridiculous. Here are some reasons why they can't be compared with each other:

1- écriture styles. Rowling writes in a descriptive third-person, whereas Meyer writes in a first-person account of a seventeen an old girl. toi can't expect Bella to talk like a professional poet of some sort, I doubt many average teenage girls do that.

2- Plot. Harry Potter is mainly about wizards and fighting. Twilight is about vampires and romance... Totally the same (Major burning sarcasm).

3- Audience. Harry Potter is aimed for children. Before...

- Saying it's better because Edward/Jacob is hot

Okay, those kind of arguments are instantly invalid, coz beauty is subjective and depends on one's perspective. Also, can toi actually SEE what they look like in the book series? Nope. And the inside of the person is what really counts.

- Saying it's better coz it's a l’amour story

What Bella and Edward have is not love, it's infatuation. They only like each other because of how the other person looks like/smells. They never chit-chat like...

Somewhere in the world right now there is a girl.

She is sitting on her lit crying because her boyfriend told her she couldn't see her good friend. He erased her e-mail from her contacts, he keeps them apart in school hallways and classes and he took her drivers liscence so she can't drive to her house. Her boyfriend is always with her. They are barely seen apart if they can be together, often alone. He decides where she goes and the only compliments he ever tells her is "your beautiful", "you're a clutz".

To write Twilight, to pass that (above) off as l’amour is unfair to that one girl who is sitting on her bed, crying.
