Just confused about Miriam Lass...

In the flashback - Miriam enters Hannibal's office and discovers his drawings secondes before he murders her. But Jack has her 'last moments' being played to him from a recording to his phone. I don't understand when she was supposed to have made that phone call - ou maybe I've just missed something important?
