It's the SM and SNSD vs Jessica show! May the battle begin! (I bet it's getting annoying to keep seeing articles about this. XP Sorry.)
MDR no, but really this is just my thoughts being typed out on my screen, so this might not flow as great as I wish it could be.
I'm probably going to get bashed for this, but I might only keep it up for a jour anyways.
So, I have been feeling that this would happen soon, but not in this super serious and sudden way that's making everyone in the Kpop world go crazy, especially Sones.
But really now? Some people are just too ignorant to figure out on their owns as to what the revealed story actually is, and go with mob mentality and blame SM for almost everything, while praising the member as if they're some Angel towards the public, when they didn't even care about them in the first place.
Everyone needs to know that Jessica isn't the only member in SNSD, and that since SNSD is one of the biggest Kpop groups alive, SM wouldn't just let her go over some small thing as her fashion line. There must've been something bigger that happened that led to this event.
I somehow believe some of what SM had previously stated. Since Jessica is the CEO of her own fashion line, they must've been concerned over the time when Jessica would focus plus of her individual business activities as a CEO plus than her original occupation as a singer for the industry. Basically saying, she would focus plus on what was supposed to be a side project for now, since she was still technically part of SNSD and is supposed to prioritize that over blanc for now. It's understandable if that actually happened; Jessica was just using SNSD as something for her brand to sell.
But, if you're like me, toi like to look through a bunch of websites for plus information, as well as others opinions on the same topic. That's why one of the news sites I frequently go on is Netizenbuzz. While Netizens are known to be pretty two-faced, I can't help but look at their commentaires and see if they have a point. So, there were the commentaires after Jessica released her official statement on her side.
I like how International fans have literally the exact opposite opinions on everything that Korea considers to be "scandalous." But I do see from both standpoints. Let me explain.
International fans have mostly taken Jessica's side, saying that SM only cared about how much revenue SNSD had made and would be making and how it would mostly lead to them rather than the members. I honestly don't think that the members were heartless at all compared to what other fans are thinking par Jessica saying that "they wanted her to choose between them and her business," since she did say that she stayed with these members for 15 years. If they had to say that, it must've been very hard to do, and Jessica might've been doing what SM did state in their response. But, I do think that OT9 is all for the fans, and that offscreen might be a different story.
But, that also leads me to thinking that Jessica is also in the wrong here. Like I a dit previously, in her statement, it made her sound as if her members suddenly changed to being heartless towards her overnight, which can't be true since she had also a dit that they congratulated her no plus than a mois il y a when it had started.
I might have to agree with one commentaire in that picture, which is when it says Jessica was too ambitious thinking that she could do all these things while being her original job, which is to be a singer. I'm not agreeing that she was too selfish ou anything like that, but I really think that if she thought she could balance her group work, individual work, and her personal life, she was in way over her head.
I don't even know what the heck is also going on with her and Tyler Kwon, but I kinda do think that they're dating, since some reports say that Jessica was also thinking about marriage, but that was a minor factor towards this. That's all I can say.
And honestly, it's gonna hurt to say this, but I think that the group would kinda be okay without Jessica. Sure, it won't be the same again and no one can ever duplicate her unique voice, but her voice was really the only thing that made her stand out from the group. Everybody knows that she was a lazy dancer, had subpar jouer la comédie like most other idols, and variety wasn't her best strong suit. And anyways, marketing for TTS would be a lot easier now without anyone complaining that Tiffany and Seohyun get plus lines because they'd probably déplacer up to main vocalists.
With that being said, I'd think that disbanding SNSD and continuing TTS would be a better choice for all of us, considering how this is already paving the way for SNSD comebacks to just be TTS ft. the rest of the irrelevant members according to SM.
This was my best way of staying partial to both. I guess toi can say I'm undecided towards this since I see good points from the two different standpoints, and donné with how confusing it is seeing all these news articles labeled [Breaking News] everywhere on websites, it's seriously so confusing for me.
Hopefully this'll all be settled within due time.
